If you think about oppositeland, the first things that come to mind are for instance: Every one is walking backwards, every thing is upside down, you talk in an opposite language and you are wearing your clothes inside out.

But if you think about it a little longer you'll soon discover that it goes a bit deeper. Your senses will get messy as well, you can hear smelly things and taste sound waves and amplitudes. Eventually you’ll learn that there is actually nothing in oppositeland, that we do have in normal life. And vice versa. All of life’s impossible-to-answer-questions will be answered in oppositeland. At the same time oppositeland can describe a less abstract story about the present and the future, where all natural life is left behind and everything is turned in mechanical and synthetic material.

Phole is a producer and pianist from Groningen, in the North of the Netherlands. At 18 he got his first piano lessons and a year later started to produce downtempo beats as "Phole". Inspired by the piano lessons Phole became interested in jazz, which you can hear in his first trip-hop EP "Pleasing.” At the moment Phole is inspired by more experimental music, and has created a unique collaboration with "Brombaer" called Globo, Since spring 2011 he is working on a new album called "Philosophy of opposite land" which will be out May 7th.

After eight years immersed in songwriting and production, Dani Siciliano is ready to return with her third solo LP "DANI SICILIANO". Ahead of the LP's release on Circus Company, the lead single shines a light on one of the album’s undoubted highlights and offers it up for some intriguing dancefloor variations that nod to her house music roots. “I’m The Question” revels in the playful and unconventional approach to pop that has always guided
Dani’s music, and so gives a perfect teaser of what the full album has in store. Her voice soars in a multi-layered swirl of crafty production while the arrangement crackles with an energy that reflects the rousing message of the lyrics. It’s an urgent intonation of positivity that should motivate anyone to get up and move, but it communicates this idea in a most delightfully unusual of ways.
Rising Parisian house head Ben Vedren offers up a remix of the lead track, building on his refined releases for Minibar and Concrete Music amongst others. He brings a noticeably tough undercurrent to his version, using a driving bass-weighted drum set to carry artful slices of Dani’s vocals through a club-ready confection with carefully placed brushstrokes of warmth and melody.
Ben Vedren also turns his hand to the Acapella Remix, stripping the production of the original track right back and replacing it with a simple rhythmic guidance to leave ample space for the vocals to stand on their own. With nothing but a steady grooving kick and snare loop in the way, it’s a track crying out for the kind of creative mixing that music as unique as Dani’s is perfectly suited to.

Dani Siciliano’s latest album is self-titled for a reason; it  represents a personal statement crafted by Dani’s own hand - feeding off her accomplished past in experimental pop and electronica and reaching to new tones and timbres in a celebration of musical liberation. 

Culminating eight years of songwriting, production research and sonic exploration, Circus Company is proud to present Dani Siciliano’s third solo album. Following her two previous solo LPs Likes…(2004) and Slappers(2007), Dani decided to focus on crafting as much of the album by herself as possible, working with just a few select musicians to round out her creative vision. As ever her captivating voice remains centre stage, and you can hear echoes of her earlier work with the likes of Herbert, The Soft Pink Truth, and Brooks tucked away amongst the folds of diverse instrumentation, but this is a record that sounds very much like its own beast. 

It’s an album of love and unabashed soul that reaches enthusiastically to all the sounds that hold the greatest appeal to Dani. What strikes most about her latest creation is the way the production instinctively frames the narrative of her lyrics, neatly demonstrating the unfettered vision she has been able to realise on this project.

This is our fourth compilation, which includes some of our favorite artists and showcases the wide range of music we like at Three Sixty Records.

We started making and releasing music in 1995, and created this compilation as a way to highlight our music to the Film and TV industry.
