The Her Records unit are no strangers to BR: their family showcase on our channels remains one of the rugged gemstones in our deep archive. Release after release, their aesthetic has risen with stark distinction: a steady salvo of machine-house and metallic club ammunition, sharply-hewn for dancefloor use only.

Next in Her's armoury is 'Hague Basement' –– a bumper single from  NKC, one of the label's most exciting new recruits. Though he's been an unslippable disc in Her's backbone for a minute now, his debut statement for the imprint has been a long time coming. Gladly it doesn't fall short.

Of the three workouts on HER012, its title track is our pick of the litter: a no-nonsense bout of juggernaut drums and vocal incantations, all built to destroy the dance. Urgent, tribal and (really fucking) hard, it's fuel to feed the tireless few found after lights up in basements from South London to Den Haag.

Khruangbin are a three-piece band from Texas, formed of Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Johnson on drums. Taking influence from 1960's Thai funk - their name literally translates to "Engine Fly" in Thai - Khruangbin is steeped in the bass heavy, psychedelic sound of their inspiration, Tarantino soundtracks and surf-rock cool.

Khruangbin team up with Boogiefuturo, the off shoot label of Bristol based Futureboogie Recordings, with a special collaborative 12" disc featuring remixes/re-edits from a veritable line up of cutting edge producers.  Session Victim, DJ Milo, Maribou State and Vuelo all come correct with re-workings of Khruangbin originals that, collectively, make up for one of the most varied and interesting remix packages of the year.  

Pressed on 12" vinyl, hand stamped and including an A4 art illustration insert, with hand drawings from Laura from Khruangbin, this package come as a limited pressing.

With his heavily dubbed-out and soundsystem ready style Digid is the perfect artist to kick off the vinyl only label “Through These Eyes” from Berlin. His track “Levitation” is a prime example of a deep, rolling space stepper, which sounds like an extraterrestrial message sent from a lifeform based in another galaxy far, far away.

Badman @TMSV flips "Levitation" upsides down and turns Digid's original in one of his reggae-influenced jungle rollers only he can make. With a heavyweight of sub and a lot of energy his Remix will sure make your dancefloor go nuts!
