Chloë Ní Dhúada and Rónán Ó Loingsigh have been writing music together on and off for the past five years. Rónán is a multi-instrumentalist with a wide range of eclectic influences and Chloë is a singer heavily influenced by male vocalists such as Jim Morrison, Mark Lanegan and Josh Homme as well as female soul singers such as Aretha Franklin. Rarely meeting in person to play due to geographical inconvenience, the two compose each part of the song separately and combine the pieces via email to create the finished product. The sound doesn't suffer however, and ends up as intimate and full as if they were in the same room. Through The Cellar Door will be playing around Dublin and Ireland in the coming months.
