Longtime friends, born and raised in the same area, they connected through a shared passion for psychedelic trance. Their nerdy background played a key role in sparking their journey into music production. After years of experiencing parties and festivals together, their shared vision materialized in 2013 in Goa, where they officially gave birth to Weirdos. The name was inspired by the colorful mix of individuals they encountered—people from all corners of the globe, each with unique backgrounds but united by a common love for psytrance and its beautiful weirdness. Because in the end, we're all weirdos in our own way. The project's concept is rooted in diverse musical influences, blending deep, dark atmospheres with hi-tech rhythms. Weirdos embody the forest vibe while injecting groovy energy, powerful leads, and obsessive sound editing into their sets. They create music with sharp ears and a heart tuned for the dancefloor. Their debut release came in 2014 with Mighty Quinn Records, followed by collaborations with several other labels, including Visionary Shamanic Records, Discovalley Records, and Sonic Loom Records. In late 2019, they proudly joined Parvati Records.

WEIRDOS | Parvati Records Series Ep. 92 | 22/05/2025

Sangoma features LEMURIANS in this episode. This live set contains a blend of music from the present and past, played by Lemurians at the Ozora Festival Main Stage in 2024. LEMURIANS is the project of Janosch Riemann founded in the late 90s together with Andreas Kuchenbauer. The two nighttime-oriented full-length albums “Crystal Mind” and “Secret Message” made quite an impact on the global Psytrance scene. With another 50+ releases on numerous record labels between 1999 and 2004, Andy and Janosch parted ways. Andy moved to Norway and Janosch started to focus more on traditional songwriting never turning his back on music production though. The pulse of Psytrance never left JanOshs veins and after 15 years of not producing electronic music, JanOsh decided to go back to electronica and start over with fresh energy. In early 2019 Janosch started to make his way back into producing faster, dancefloor-oriented music. With releases on numerous labels and now signed to Sangoma Records, alonside playing major festivals like Ozora and Ethereal Decibel Janosch continues leaving an imprint on the psychedelic dancefloors of the world and is planning to keep on producing cutting-edge psychedelic music in the future.

The psychedelic journey I played at Transition 2025 is up and running. 3 hours of storytelling through different styles and some of my favourite tunes of the year. This time, I was most invested in the festival than ever before. So this was a very special moment for me, the start of the Saturday night, where I delivered a dip into my psychedelic world. The dancefloor was steaming from the beginning, and the vibe was high. It's a feeling I bring with me the whole year around. What an absolute blast of music and emotions!!

I started it with slow bpm darkprog and went through the usual suspects: forest prog, forest psy, and topped it up with some serious twilight for some tension release. All in all, I feel very confident this may be my most dear set in the year, I enjoyed every second of it. And I hope you will enjoy it as much :)

Dive into the debut EP of SCORCHING DOSE, alongside a selection of recently released tracks and unreleased pieces from his upcoming album, set for release at the end of 2025 on Woo-Dog Recordings. Expect a journey through story-driven dark forest psytrance, ranging from 148 to 160 BPM.  Scorching Dose is the creative outlet of Alper Ertem, emerging from the shadowy corners of France’s underground scene, particularly the raw energy of teknival free parties. Quickly recognized by Woo-Dog Recordings, he fuses dark forest psytrance with eerie natural atmospheres, dissonant textures, and hypnotic grooves influenced by underground tekno.  Before music, Alper worked as a video artist and writer, now channeling his storytelling skills into deep sonic narratives. A devoted figure in underground culture, Scorching Dose draws inspiration from Central Asian shamanism, infusing his music with mystical and primal energy.

Braincell Set - Own Spirit Festival

This episode features ORIGINZ with a DJ set recorded in Japan for the Aladdin Party in Koga, Ibaraki. The mix is a condensed reflection of his twilight side, focused on grooves and light energies. Originz, aka Raphaël Atlan, is a 30-year-old psytrance activist from Lyon, France. A label DJ for Sangoma Records since 2019, he is also the founder and director of Outrance, and works as programmer, stage manager, and social media manager for major organizations including Hadra, Own Spirit, and Ethereal Decibel.  Since 2015, Originz has performed worldwide, and at renowned festivals such as Ozora, Modem, Hadra, Own Spirit, Wao, Son Libre, and Ethereal Decibel. His style blends energetic and pumping psytrance with groovy forest atmospheres, creating a unique balance of depth and lightness on the dancefloor. After releasing his first VA Eagles Rising in 2020 on Sangoma Records, he went on to play Modem Festival in 2022 and Ozora Festival 2024 b2b with Rajax, his duo project.
