Charlie P is best known for his reggae and dancehall releases, so this grimey countdown of his rules of the dance comes as a surprise. The vocal is superbly matched with productions that span the worlds of soundsystem including two of the most exciting producers around. Mungo’s Hi Fi start their side with a digital riddim that creeps into more progressive sounds. Kahn’s production is darker with almost eastern atmospherics and is heavyweight as you would imagine.

Skeptical will be opening the Exit Records 2015 release schedule on 19th January with a 4 track 12" EP. Believe it or not, this is Skeptical's debut solo release on Exit, with previous contributions consisting of his monster collaboration with Dub Phizix and Strategy, the mighty Marka, as well as individual tracks on the Mosaic series 1 and 2.
 
The EP features the percussive roller and title track 'Imperial', which has been taking dance floors deep into the jungle over the last few months in typical Skeptical fashion. As usual with his tracks this is not laptop music. Sub bass is essential to appreciate the full production qualities and the whole EP demonstrates his power to achieve the utmost with the very minimum.

“Durandal's 'Rewind' is a production that evolves around the motion of several low pitched frequency oscillators; all flowing within their individual trajectories of madness. A vocal expresses the craze of Durandal's cut appears several times, adding flavour to the sub-heavy lower region alongside the lively samples of crowds and events. 

"Slowly, the tables turn as both low and mid-range patterns add a rough twist to the incoming second drop, with octave changes and different hi-hat arrangements that call for the reload. The Utah-based producer has delivered an original tune worthy of a spin, a rewind and listing in any of your future track lists…”
