He was at the forefront of early techno with the likes of Carl Craig, CJ Bolland, Underworld, Advent etc. &#8220;I am delighted to sign these tracks from Dave Angel. He was without a doubt one of my idols in the 90&#8217;s and was the king of soulful musical techno for me. Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg deliver something a little different with their next collaboration; ‘You Know’.  Unlike their recent Drumcode release 'Unanswered Question', ‘You Know’ is a deep house killer that will appeal to new and old fans alike. Using a number of melodies within both the bass line and melodic synth that sits at the back of the mix, these two elements harmonise together smoothly and create an ear catching juxtaposition that will get the dance floor rocking before the vocal roars over the track.

The original is by two very young and talented Medellin-based producers who I'd had my eye on for years. We later connected and they started to send me quite a lot of demos and this one stood out the most. It was just one of those tracks that harked back to the old Tenaglia marathon sets that I'd loved so much, especially the stream-of-consciousness pitched down spoken vox. And I loved the tense, hi-pitched string in the background and the moody deep stabs. I wasn't even sure that I'd sign it as my release schedule was already quite full but every time I'd play it out I'd think about doing a remix as I felt that I could do some sort of driving, epic, alternate version. As I recall it was one of those remixes that was FUN to work on because the original parts were so great. I'm quite happy with the mix I did, especially the long, drawn out intro. And I think that it helped the boys gain some more exposure.

With Adam’s stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the Techno scene and the rise of Drumcode, the standard of demo’s that have been sent to Adam have been top notch. Adam has now decided to release two compilations with 10 tracks each, consisting of tracks that Adam has tried and tested. There are also new artists that have been invited to release on Drumcode for this compilation and others who are a staple in Drumcode’s core family. Combining both old and new talents Drumcode have come up with something unique and distinctive to make this two-part compilation something extra special.
