Hundreds - Please Rewind (The/Das Remix)

Marvin & Guy was born in 2011 from the children of two different musical generations with a shared knowledge of how to make people dance. Influenced by legendary DJs such as Ron Hardy, Larry Levan or Tee Scott, their sound is firmly rooted in disco but keeps evolving with each release.
In their debut EP for Hivern, they keep expanding their palette with three tracks that push the boundaries between the disco culture and a techno spirit. "Egoísta" is a highly hypnotic joint driven by a warm analogue bassline and a spacey pad that has become a staple in John Talabot's sets during the lasts months. “Canción (Para Tí)" manages to blend an italo arpeggio, a 303 bassline and pumping disco beat with a certain latin spirit to create a crushing dancefloor belter. "The Man who Lost the Hat" is an obscure trip builded around psychedelic synths, a rolling bassline and topped with spooky vocal samples.
The 12” comes wrapped in a sleeve featuring pictures of México-based photographer Pia Riverola and design by Arnau Pi.

Ready for another House track? How about some real house, from a time before the mp3 changed the game and before sync buttons even existed? Then we’ve got 4 for you this time around, all remixes from Blunted Dummies 1993 ‘House For All’. First up is Berlin-local Ruede Hagelstein with his atmospherically charged remix, taking the tone down just a bit giving the track multiple uses, from home-listening to mid-morning afterhour sets. Next up is DJ. T. who takes the energy up again with his remix. Heavy percussion and a solid bassline-drive give new meaning to the beloved classic. House legend DJ Pierre also tries his hand, keeping much of the original spirit intact, while modernizing and tweaking just enough to get to most out of it. Finally John Aquaviva closes the package with heavy kicks and that sweet low end bass we have come to love.

Club-focussed heaters are only a part of musical development. Sometimes you need to catch also the strings and melodies of a certain moment. From silence to wild nature noises, from sunshine to deep and dark winter mood. You are coming home with a melody in your head and you find peace in some hard and techy sounds coming in and bringing movement for your blood. Diverse like life, thats Mononoid's first longplayer. 

"Elf" is the first track creating a spacious atmosphere were you can loose yourself in, but still keeps you on the right track. "Anna" is intense and wide open, without loosing the trippy character. "Monorus" is full of magic with it's hard switch and it's spacey flair.A walk through an unreal world brings the track "Parks and Gardens" - a blues guiding you to a place in between where the clouds open up. 

With our dear friend Beatamines the dutch duo created "Yotta" which is a very techy track for the late night in the club. "Take steps" will bring you home finally with a bag full of new ideas and sounds. Enjoy this beautiful trip and don't get lost on the way - how the guys described it together with Amy White.
