In order to concentrate on his own underground productions, Piotr Figiel created the techno label RWETES. Piotr Figiel has established himself in the Polish scene and abroad, performing alongside artists such as Surgeon, Tom Hades, Paul Birken, Deas, and Esther Duijn. He also includes music on Developer's Modularz, Children of Tomorrow by Arnaud Le Texier, Unknown Territory by Lex Gorrie, Induxtriall by H. Paul.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Perhaps in the Dark Zone I Will Be Light" with a cinematic and atmospheric sound. A warm bass pump and stripped down groove chuggs forward with a robotic vocal snippet and electrifying frequencies providing an immersive overlay to this raw, analogue trip.

Mark Reeve presents his second release on Drumcode, ‘Run Back’, a four track EP crammed with heavy hitting kick drums and his signature big basslines. The dark sounds and heavy textures are typical of Reeve and he’s showing no sign of slowing down yet. Four tracks of brooding techno, this EP is one not to be missed.

Somehow Brazil always seems to find a way into our hearts. After releases from Victor Ruiz and ANNA, we're very excited to welcome another native of the country to the roster - Dakar. Having made a splash already on labels like This Ain't Bristol, Snatch!, and Dirtybird, Dakar has gifted us with the dangerously catchy Myself EP.

The two tracks on this release showcase Brazil's penchant for twisting bass-heavy house into its own deep variant. Funky, staccato basses and bangin' drum patterns create lively tools that will catch the club's attention immediately. Dakar proves that with "Myself" and "Dynamite" he can craft fresh, fun tech house tracks that veer from sounding generic in any way, shape, or form. 

On remix duty is label regular Sacha Robotti, whose work in Robosonic has produced some of Yoshitoshi's most iconic classic remixes. Sacha flips "Myself" into a darker, twisted house track that careens through caverns of big, rolling bass swells over its seven minute ride.

La Fleur's new 'Right Beside You' EP marks the end of her busiest summer on record. A residency at Hot Since 82's Labyrinth parties at Pacha in Ibiza, touring Brazil with the Watergate crew and remixing their new single from the mighty Sasha have lead to it being a season to remember.

The title track, ‘Right Behind You', features vocals from Austrian vocalist/songwriter Lula, who is best known for her distinctive work on Danny Tenaglia club classics like La Fleur favourite ‘Read My Lips’.

La Fleur said: “Lula's voice is special and distinct. Hearing her unique way of vocalising on favourite tracks of mine from back in the day (like Tenaglia's '98 single 'Read My Lips' for example), I just felt I had to reach out to her. Creating 'Right Behind You' was a labour of love and we spent months working on it until we finally got to the definitive version.”

Octave One announce their new album under the much loved Random Noise Generation guise. The first RNG release was 'Falling in Dub' in 1991 and sounding just as fresh 27 years later, ‘Endustry’ is due for release this spring. 

Something of a new take on their creative process the Burden brothers made most of this music on the road while they toured over the past year, using the country they were in at each time they recorded to influence and inspire each track. “We were tucked away in so many hotel rooms that we decided to make sure we brought enough extra equipment so that we could set up a true lab to create from country to country and make the grooves that we wanted to experiment with on the dance floor.” comments Lawrence.

This body of work encompasses 7 full length cuts, naturally all with that classic Octave One emotion. “'Alkaylze', more than any of tracks on this project, embraced the original spirit of Random Noise Generation in so much as the “machine” seemed to be really guide the creative process.” Adds Lenny “Much of the foundation of the composition was very accidental, but inspirational, with various musical devices interpreting data in a very unexpected results. It actually came together quite quickly but things just fell into place so naturally.” 

After touring and making music for decades the spirit and essential energy of the craft is what keeps them eternally inspired to keep creating and touring the globe… ”Once it takes hold of you you can’t stop even if you wanted to.” says the pair, and so 'Endustry' is born.
