Nadja Lind has had a very fruitful career since emerging on the scene in the early noughties, releasing on Soma, Darkroom Dubs and 100% Pure, not to mention Lucidflow, the label she runs alongside close friend and Klartraum collaborator Helmut Ebritsch.

Meanwhile, Paul Loraine, known for his work on Vitalik, Fondation, Akbal and My Favorite Robot, has garnered a reputation as the man behind Rhythm Cult, whilst also being described as one of the UK’s best secrets.

After almost 20 years on the circuit delivering timeless music for many of the world best record labels, Glasgow producer Vince Watson’s prolific career entered a new phase in 2014, with releases on Cocoon as well as Poker Flat, Ovum and Bedrock and appearances at Richie Hawtin’s ENTER.

Already in 2015, his debut release on Osunlade’s Yoruba Records topped the charts for 6 weeks solid. Carl Craig and Josh Wink both remixes his tracks recently, and he has EPs coming later this year on New York House labels Nervous and King Street.

Now based in Amsterdam, Vince’s live shows are now in demand around the world, and as a former Tresor resident, his DJ sets are also now highly requested. Vince's take on Nadja and Paul's ‘Velocity’ (which we premiere here exclusively) demonstrates his trademark synths with a sultry bassline.

Making his Hot Creations debut is Belfast's very own Phil Kieran with 'Make A Change' and heavyweights Nathan Barato and Matrixxman on remixes. Acting as a teaser this release is the precursor to Kieran's soon coming album ‘Blinded By The Sun’ on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss's almighty label in October.

‘Make A Change’ sees synths and drum machines being brought together by a simple vocal that acts a mantra, “I wanted to send out a positive message onto the dance floor that could empower people. For over a decade Kieran has dedicated his career to producing and DJing to his very best ability, resulting in a reputation that is undoubtedly as solid as the music he makes. He has previously worked with Green Velvet, and was personally chosen by Depeche Mode to remix 'Sweetest Perfection'. Having released on ULTRAMAJIC, Hotflush, Cocoon, Turbo and his own imprint Phil Kieran Recordings, Kieran is an unwavering figure within the techno scene. His unprecedented skills in production have also meant that he's created film scores alongside David Holmes and released music under his alias Le Carousel.

Canadian Nathan Barato returns once more to Hot Creations and delivers a remix charged with his signature after-hours energy. Matrixxman switches up the mood entirely with his unyielding remixes, made entirely for the real techno-heads.

The next release from OC & Verde comes in the form of a 2 track EP, namely ‘Navajo' a driving slice of melodic tech that builds on the spirit of their Knee Deep in Sound anthem Maasai. Together with ‘Mañana' that mixes an hypnotic piano with deep driving moroder inspired synth part to create their trademark fusion sound. 

It was Solomun that kick started things for their first release of 2017, playing their track “Solstice” after he was sent some of their unreleased material, before long, videos were appearing from the BPM festival of him playing the track and then it secured a space on Steve Lawler’s release schedule for Viva Music. Fast forward to the recent Ibiza opening parties and their music is already being supported by the Adam Beyer, who closed the Cocoon opening party at Amnesia Ibiza with Solstice and Steve Lawler who played both Navajo and Solstice at the Ants opening at Ushuaia Ibiza

Hot on the heals of Phil Kieran’s first Blinded By The Sun Album Remix project which featured Roman Flügel and Andrew Weatherall remixes, Hot Creations return with a second remix package. Mano Le Tough, Matthew Herbert and David Holmes all contribute to create a set of flawless cuts and a superb second Remix package.

Revered by his peers, Kieran has been producing music for over a decade, building on his solid reputation and forever pushing boundaries with his music. When selecting the second group of remixers, Kieran chose “people who have influenced me and still currently do, in some way I guess they have a connection to the record already. I made a wish list of who I wanted and to my surprise it all seemed to come together very quickly”.

Both heralding from Ireland, Mano Le Tough aka Niall Mannion was an obvious choice for Kieran due to the shared dedication of their craft, and leaves a deeply emotional imprint on Solar Storm. In 2013 Mannion released his debut album Changing Days on Permanent Vacation, soon followed by Resident Advisor ranking him #8 in their Top 100 DJs Poll.

Similarly to Kieran, English musician and producer Matthew Herbert regularly ignores the restraints associated with dance music, instead choosing a path of innovation. Taking Realities Forgotten into the early morning hours, Herbert punctures a swinging rhythm with electronic glitches.

David Holmes under his Unloved alias concludes the package with a cinematic remix of Think Too Much, overflowing with emotion, it makes the perfect conclusion to a stellar release. Also from Belfast, Holmes has been composing music for over two decades, winning his second Ivor Novello award in 2016.
