3 QUESTIONS to DOUGLAS GREED:

Q: The insiders know that Douglas is not your real name. So what´s the secret behind your artist name - if there is a secret? 

A: I used the be a little bit of a DOUGLAS COUPLAND fan boy. So I thought it would be a nice idea to call myself Douglas. 3 years ago I met him in hamburg, it was actually my birthday. I told him that he inspired me a lot and that I call myself Douglas because of him - I think he was a bit scared of me that moment. 


Q: During the years lots of people were talking about "move to Berlin, it´s the center of electronic music". Why did you not leave your hometown to follow the mass?


A: The place I live in Jena is a nice and easy going small-town in east germany. It´s all green over there - so why should I move to berlin?


Q: You had past releases on huge labels such as Freude Am Tanzen or BPitch Control. What can we expect this year?

A: I got a new project called EATING SNOW with my buddy MOORYC. We will release our debut album in september on Freude Am Tanzen.

I spent the month of May driving through the U.S. from the southern to the northern border tracing the Rocky Mountains. These are the tracks that accompanied my wanderings and that I, admittedly on more than one occasion, raved to in a pair of snowshoes on my lonesome in the wilderness.
