Two Tail - Oh Glory Be The Flute

This tune has been doing the rounds on Youtube for quite some time now, but does something really exist unless it’s on Soundcloud? The answer is likely yes of course - but as a predominantly Soundcloud based channel, we don’t want to believe it. 

An aptly named track this one, Saudade - derived from the Portuguese, means a deep nostalgic longing for something likely never to return. Perfectly summed up by gentle guitars, talkative percussion and a delicate ebbing and flowing structure. Take a moment to reflect on what’s been and gone, sentimentality isn’t over rated - and take comfort in the fact that it’s likely that someone else is listening to this track, through another screen, another pair of headphones or speakers. You know each other so well but have never met; all as that same sample washes over and over, bliss.

Together we reinterpret some carefully selected tracks, which will be released in a very limited vinyl only edition early on in Spring. These records will first and foremost go out to friends and fellow Djs. But you may be able to get a few of them via our website or in the selected record shops Phonica (London), A1 (New York), Optimal (Munich) or Mount Analog (Los Angeles)

Lyon beatsmith Saint Paul made an impressive full debut in 2017 with his Introspection EP on Moonrise Hill Material (which he co-runs with his boys Folamour, Ethyène and Kaffe Crème). After tasty contributions to V/As on the likes of Apparel Wax and FHUO, the Frenchman is back with another solo record on DC’s Better Listen Records.

The Naturist Behavior EP is a tastefully balanced, warm-weather oriented four tracker. The title track and the A2, “A Hawaiian Trip”, explore playful and jazzy territories. Meanwhile, the flip hosts moodier ventures via the bittersweet boogie of “Tell Me” and the ice cold late night jam, “Feels Good”.
