Arjen Flipsen a.k.a Niles Philips is back with a new trip hop and downtempo four track EP release under the title 'Out of Sight'. 

In this era where technological development goes faster than ever and the seamy side reveals itself to the world, Niles slows down the tempo to reflect. His EP 'Out of Sight' takes us back to the times where our current state was a distant future, maybe even from another planet. The songs on this EP tell a story about the hunger for evolution and the desire to take hold of what is familiar. 

All songs are performed in Niles Philips his typical cinematic style. Where synthesizers, (bass) guitars, organs and soundscapes are blended to well-balanced little melodic chapters. 

In this release you will discover once again his unique way of producing organic music with fat beats and awesome melodies.

A 3am song release, crazy. Anyways this song is kinda a testament to how creative I get with music before I go to sleep. As I do sometimes, I used this Kagi sample to start this song. He genuienly makes some of the most creative blurbs of music and it's cool he let's people use it to make music. Tranquilo Na Italia (feat DJ Farrapo, Flora Matos, MC Papo Reto) [Clip]

When DJ, producer and songwriter Danny Massure moved home to San Diego, he teamed up with a new group of musicians. The result is "Busted". Four new tracks that are original compositions with live instrumentation and no samples. 

The EP starts off with the title track, "Busted", a banging afrobeat tune. 

"Knuckle Sandwich" lays low with an infectious 60s/70s latin swagger. 

On "No Saint" Danny called up his favorite singer and long time collaborator Miya Collins from Seattle. Miya's catchy lyrics and soulful vocals over Danny's funk produced a sassy funk anthem for the ladies who aren't tryin' to get played. 

"Fix It" rolls into the late night, chopping Miya's vocals over a house groove for DJs transitioning from funk and afrobeat into a jackin' house set. 

Diesler, one of Danny's favorite producers, flips "Busted" into a relentless afro-chugger that builds pressure with an acid bassline. 

Atlanta duo CaZ laces a pair of boogie shoes on "Busted" for a trip to afro-disco land finished off with analog synths, afro vocals and a stompy shuffle.  

Shantisan transforms "Knuckle Sandwich" into a bouncy afro-house track with a pounding beat, african vocals and instrumentation and a 70s flavor.  

Ed Royal takes us back to the glory days of house with a stompy beat and grooving bassline on his remix of "Fix It".  

Zamali brings the sexy to the funk on his uplifting disco-breaks remix of "Fix It".  

Trotter aims to destroy the dancefloor with his nufunk breakbeat twist on "No Saint" which is sure to be a hit with the midtempo breaks crowd.

“Coming Down” is the brand new single from Jack & Jointz featuring Jamaican singer “Wild Life”. In this great collaboration you can discover a moody track with plenty of reggae and dub vibes blended with fat beats, funk attitude and dance floor orientation. 

The release is coming out with strong remixes. Mined & Forrest brings a powerful dance floor friendly ghetto funk remix, Timewarp inc blends the things with a catchy dub but yet groovy reggae style remix, DJ Clairvo brings his breakbeat remix version and at last Jack & Jointz remixing their song with a breakbeat concept. Instrumental versions of the original and the remixes appears in the release. 

From an early age Wild Life displayed a deep love for singing and songwriting. He would deejay and chant on community Sound Systems such as Ninja Star and Ultimate Supreme and other sound systems in Kingston. Wild Life introduction to the music recording world by Caveman - the musical mentor for many mainstream reggae artists such as Luciano, Bushman, Sizzla and a many more. Over the years he has also worked with several local and international producers. He recorded songs on Production label by Reggae Legend Bunny Wailer. This song enjoyed favourable airplay on locally and internationally He collaborated with NOT EASY AT ALL PRODUCTION (Amsterdam Holland), Sud Sound System (Italy) The Bug (Ninja Tune) and many more.

UK jazz dance hero Paul Murphy teams up with BBE Music to deliver his first compilation on the label: a blazing selection of up-tempo jazz titled ‘The Jazz Room’.

Lauded by none other than Gilles Peterson as “the original messenger of jazz who found almost every dancefloor classic”, Paul began DJing in 1970s London. His passion and unique playing style placed him at the epicentre of an emerging jazz-dance scene in the city, popping off in spots like The Horseshoe (aka Jaffas), The Wag, The 100 Club, The Blue Note and The Electric Ballroom, where he founded the now famous ‘Jazz Room’, after which this album is named.

Paul’s influence on UK Jazz culture simply can’t be overstated, from his short-lived but much beloved imprint Paladin Records to his unswerving support of home-grown talents such as Working Week, Morrissey Mullen & Paz.

As a DJ, his musical selections still live large in the memories of those who experienced them. As Coldcut’s Jonathon More put it “Paul Murphy used to play the most frenzied and far out funky jazz at my Meltdown warehouse parties”.

‘The Jazz Room’ nicely encapsulates the reason so many greats feel moved to wax lyrical about Paul Murphy’s ear for dance-floor jazz, which is very clearly undimmed after decades behind the decks. Deftly mixing contemporary sounds with trusted bullets that his 1980s audiences will remember well, these tracks are vibrant and potent, with a couple of fiery live recordings thrown in for extra energy and sweat.

Rob Myers, Steve Raskin and Sid Barcelona are the masterminds behind Thunderball.  This Washington, DC-based trio are globally renowned purveyors of sophisticated, stereophonic-thrillers, and cinematic dub. Since 1997 their productions have shifted effortlessly between the genres of drum’n’bass, dub and downtempo, building a strong following for their signature sound. 12 Mile High marks the return of the Thunderball trio from their duties with the venerable breakbeat production group Fort Knox Five.

12 Mile High will be available on CD and iTunes on Novermber 9th, 2010 on ESL Music.
