Issa wrap on mixes this year! I've been keeping a playlist that has a song for every day of the year, and thought it'd be fun to pull it all together into a mix. That said, it's kinda difficult to make it all make sense together lol. So this mix is like a digest: it's a bundle of stuff that made an impact on me this year. Lotsa bits and pieces from everywhere, including a pretty solid section on the afro house that I've really dialed into recently. Anyways, grateful to all y'all who've been around this year. Next year I'd like to lock in more to more narrative mixes, in all the facets that can be. Hope you stick around to see the growth!

Worked on this set off and on for like 4 years no BS... Wanted to show y'all that I was raised right with the music that my family, mainly my grandmother and mom played around the house... This one moves through the decades without getting too deep or too obvious - with a bit of satire woven in, playing with the over the top emotions and dramatic storytelling that make love songs so iconic. At the end, I had fun letting the eras speak to each other in a way that felt right. Also, this was my first mix on the CDJ 3000s, and I had hella fun putting it together. The transitions, the layering, the way the energy shifts - all of it felt like a new way to stretch and explore sound.
