Alx POP is the multimedia project of American recording artist Alexander Seth Kornbluh (born Dec 9, 1994, he/him) from Mountain Lakes, NJ. His music journey started in his teens, influenced by Crystal Castles in 2007. This led him to explore performance art, film, & music production. Growing up, Alex spent time in NYC, where the city's energy left a lasting impression. A move to Lincoln, Nebraska, during his teens worsened his depression & anxiety, leading to substance use to cope. After high school in Lincoln, Alex moved to Portland, OR with friends who later betrayed him, leading to traumatic experiences. Despite challenges, he pursued his passion for music, moving to cities including Eugene, Seattle, LA & San Diego, facing obstacles but never losing sight of his goals. In Seattle, Alex faced another setback when he was robbed while working at a dispensary, leaving him bedridden for a year but fueling his determination to grow as a music producer. During this time, he honed his skills, developing techniques & sounds that defined his avant-pop style. Currently based in Seattle, Alex pours every fiber of his being into Alx POP. His work is influenced by artists like SOPHIE, Charli XCX, Terror Jr, MIA, A.G. Cook, & Uffie. Despite many challenges, Alex remains committed to his art, driven by a desire to connect with other artists & create meaningful music. Alx POP is a testament to Alex's resilience & passion. Through his journey, he hopes to inspire others & turn his love for music into a sustainable career.
