Sol which is an abbreviation for 'Seed of Light' is a Gospel rapper, singer, and songwriter. His work is mostly described as eccentric and yet informative.

Samantha “IMANI” Mogwe, the 25 year old songbird, born to a Motswana father
and a Zambian mother, brings a fused element of neo-soul/RnB. Having been
raised to appreciate poetry and performing arts, she was exposed to music at an
early age and was also encouraged to tell stories (both her own and those of
others) through music writing and poetry.
Samantha Mogwe is a multifaceted individual who places great value to education
and its re-inventive qualities. She holds a degree in Theology which she attained
at Baptist Theological College in Randburg and is currently studying music at the
Trinity College London, so far she has her certificate in Grade 2 Theory of Music
and Grade 3 Singing.

2nd runner up for My African Dream Junior singing category in 2003
Winner of the Gabz Karaoke Idols in 2004
Worked with Ramco Productions on a mix tape in 2004
Made the top 24 of African Idols as the only representative from Botswana in 2008
Performed at the monthly Exodus Live Poets events as well as their annual festivals alongside
artists such as Neo Quashie, TJ Dema, Phil Rotz, KK the beat boxer from 2004-2010
Won an award for “My African Dream - Living The Dream” in 2010
Had a show titled Lost and Found in December 2011, which was well accepted and
appreciated by attendees. Hosted her second show in May 2012 at Botswana Craft and had e-
Botswana covering it as well as other media houses. Her third show, titled Amplified in late
2012 was also a hit

In 2012, she was part of a creative team that worked with PSI Botswana on a video that speaks
about the initiative that PSI does in this country to create awareness on HIV/Aids. One of their
campaigns is safe male circumcision. This video was presented in the USA at the PSI summit and it
won under the category of “Best Team Spirit”
Is part of a collective (Inside Out), which focuses on hosting shows that aim at healing the person
as a whole through art. This collective does not get paid for any of the work they do but tackle
issues that are at the heart of society and interpret them in their own way
Has also done drama and performing arts with “Art Love”, a group of young women who host
productions that raise awareness on specific issues (16 days of activism, women’s day) and also
raise funds for specific charities that are aimed at helping women
SOS fund raising campaign ambassador for their "Bana ba ke ba Rona" campaign, launched in
2013 to raise an awareness of the need for Batswana to support children who are in need

Has opened for well-known artists such as Zahara, The Soil and Joe Thomas
Also featured on songs with local artists such as Kast, Andreattah Chuma, Beat Premiers,
Chubb Heightz, Groove Cartell etc
Currently enjoying great airplay with her recently debuted single 'Transition' from her much
anticipated, upcoming album which is to be released in spring 2013
