Call it Progress

Just a Latin American cisgender man on a journey that disolves cultural and intellectual borders. Inspired by Critical Theory and guied by Musical Theory, I strive to transform social experiences and reflections into compositions that go beneath the surface, instigating creative and individual metaphorical abstraction. My music is fueled by a desire to understand the complexities of the power networkies, identity, and cultural context—themes that always resonate in my lyrics and melodies. Rooted in Latin America with a view towards the world, each song invites listeners to explore stories, question certainties, and find, in art, a form of dialogue with our time.
My affinity for linguistics manifested itself from an early age through poetry, but it was only in my late teens that it merged with the principles of musical theory, bringing musicality to my writings. This process gave rise to my first melodies, which were shaped through multi-instrumental experimentation and the first virtual technologies, incipient at this time. For 20 years, composing has been a recurring element in my life, often left aside by academic and professional commitments. Now, I have decided to make this creative practice an integral part of my daily routine.
