Craig Tattersall is a multi-talented brilliant artist, member of Remote Viewer, The Boats and several other projects. The man behind the much loved bespoke imprint Cotton Goods, Other Ideas and the Moteer/Mobeer labels. He makes beautifully modest and understated music, highly recommended to fans of life's subtler joys.

"A lot of times it’s not only the sound itself but also the way it has deteriorated. I just love the crackle of vinyl, the saturated distortion of analogue tape, the hiss of wax-cylinders, the aging process of the artifact itself is equally important as the sounds themselves. The Funky Lowlives - Breathless

Solid Steel (23rd May) In Hour 1 we're delighted to welcome Leon Vynehall to the show. Following his recent release on Martyn's 3024 label, he delivers an exclusive mixtape of his own unreleased edits just for Solid Steel. He told us;
"I had a bit of time off after I finished Music For The Uninvited, so I pulled out a bunch of records and made some early 90s hip-hop and decided to make a mixtape. I've been fortunate enough to have some friends sing and mc on it too."
Those friends include Ava Trilling, Speelburg, Kasflow and Rosalind for a sublime selection of beats, including his 'vynedit' of the classic Broad Factor by Quasimoto.

Jon Phonics takes over in Hour 2. His new EP 'White Neckle' is out now on First Word (who are celebrating 10 years) and we hear tracks from the EP and many more of his productions. He tells us:
 "With my Solid Steel mix, i wanted to take the opportunity to give those unfamiliar with my music a little education in what I'm about. Therefore, this mix is a sort of journey through my discography - from my first 'half past calm' mixtape in 2010, to productions scheduled for release later this year via my most recent 'White Neckle' EP, alongside some bits I'm working on at the moment that have been straight two-tracked out of my MPC especially. There's some collaborations with my buddies S-type & Pedestrian, vocal features from Yasine, Rup, Masikah & T-bear + remixes of my productions from nice guys Slugabed & Kidkanevil"
