Hailing from North London, Row D is a multi-talented grime MC and producer. Having been around since the early days of the genre, Row D has built up a back catalogue of EPs, singles and releases which showcase his versatility, lyricism and ability to combine technical spitting with songwriting and crafting catchy hooks and choruses. 

One of Row D’s biggest supporters has been Beats1’s DJ Charlie Sloth, who had Row D on his BBC Radio 1 show after he was crowned winner of DJ Cameo’s BBC Lyrical Master competition in 2012. Since then Row D has appeared on Charlie’s coveted Fire in the Booth platform, as well as Fire in the Streets and more. 

Row D’s enviable work rate has seen him dominate pirate radio sets for years now, impressing so much he was invited to appear on DJ Logan Sama’s Keepin it Grimy x ICA pirate radio special alongside other radio regulars, as well as appearances at Eskimo Dance and other major raves. These hours of practice, combined with his natural energy and enthusiasm make him a huge presence onstage, with singalong lyrics and reload bars in abundance. 

Row D has also developed a reputation as a fearsome clasher, having taken scalps from rival MCs at events such as Rinse x LOTM and the Converse Block Party, as well as clash platforms The Jump Off, Lord of the Mics and Who’s Da Boss. 

2016 saw the release of the More Than Shouting Mixtape, which showed a more mature side to Row D, he also collaborated with the production of the first grime musical Merryville, producing beats which were used in the stage show.
