Tasillo - "We don’t always play all of those tracks in our live sets but we still love them. This 9 Essentials edition is quite dance floor orientated and starts with a vocal from one of the last Figure Records releases. We like Len Faki’s label Figure a lot and thought that this vocal is a great intro for the mix. The second track is a remix from Len Faki and we actually play it quite often as an intro track. It builds up a nice energy and brings people into the right mood for a Pan-Pot set :) Solaris Iterations from Kaspiann is an amazingly deep techno track. Great grooves with deep atmospheres. The following track is a remix from Kyle Geiger. Loving the (Italo) disco vibe in it. Next up is DEAS with his track Space race. The whole EP of Deas is a banger. Same as Rocko Garoni’s track “It’s All Yours“ feat Cook Strummer. Super dark and deep techno. Second State’s longterm member Michael Klein delivered a banger with Hoisin which follows Rocko’s track. The track “Reason“ from Proxima is a moody acid banger and always works brilliantly in clubs. Last but not least as an outro we chose a breakbeat remix from Delta Funktionen to roundup the whole mix. Thanks for listening :)"

Filip Mardberg and Fredrik Gilenholt are the two dynamic Swedes from Malmö who form the legendary duo better known as TICON. From a very young age both Fredrik & Filip were deeply drawn to electronic music, as they were especially intrigued on how music can positively change everything around you. The urge to produce their own music was strong, as they both had the same desire to express themselves through their own music, and so during the mid 90's their journey into music started when they both started tampering around with their computers making music from 1995.

TICON was officially born in 1998, which happens to be around the same time when the psychedelic music culture started introducing its psychedelic progressive trance sound. This also happens to be why TICON has always been considered as some of the initial few artists who all actively played vital roles in the development of the psy-progressive trance sound. It was due to their deep understanding and previous knowledge of electronic music, that the TICON project rapidly took shape. The main source of inspiration behind TICON has always been to create something fresh, something new, something that allows them to focus on expressing their inner emotion through their music. The trademark of their sound is best described as a brilliant blend of various electronic music styles that is carried by their deep understanding for intelligent electronic music. Their sound is emotionally charged, and driven by a ton of force which reflects their passion for music as well as their dynamic energy as a duo, with the aim to simply mesmerize dance floors.

Their 6th studio album was released in 2016, which affirmed their position as one of the most respected, true psy-progressive trance artists today. TICON’s illustrious career spans across an impressive two decades already, with a ton of timeless releases that has placed them in a league of their own. With their undoubted talented, charisma and dynamic music they are set to comfortably remain one of the most sought after psy-progressive duos on the planet.
