As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

Happy to have Phred Noir on the Play Pal Series with a very personal two hour mix he's recorded for the occasion.

He's been behind one of the finest labels we know, La Dame Noir Records, for the last 10 years, being co-founder of it alongside Relatif Yann, and also of La Dame Noir Bar & Club.

They've counted with many great artists through out these years, both on the label and at the club, where he's had the opportunity of sharing decks with Maceo Plex, Pachanga Boys, Chloé, Andrew Weatherall, Ivan Smagghe or Michael Mayer just to name a few.

He's been playing for more than two decades and as he defines it himself, from Balearic Disco to Slow Techno via Dark Disco, from the seaside to the latest dance floor, between 100 & 120 bpm, being 110 where he enjoys the most.

As a producer, he's teamed up with Amevicious under the alias 'La Dame Noir' releasing music on Meant, Factor City or Blindetonation and also with Remain from Meant Rec. under the aka 'Slow Porn' with releases on My Favourite Robot and La Dame Noir.

Language, according to the Collins dictionary, is “a system for the expression of thoughts and feelings by the use of sounds or conventional symbols”. Some artists find in written words their most effective way of expressing themselves. Others, more extroverted, use spoken language. There are those who rely on visual memory, and make use of design or fashion to communicate with the world. Paulo Boghosian speaks the language of pure music. His sonar perception is crystal clear, making sounds become almost tangible in each of his presentations. He makes use of an intense, energetic music to communicate with fearless integrity. The dance floor, in turn, responds accordingly. 

This acute sensibility is the greatest constant of Boghosian’s work. While “hype” gives birth to some, and makes others disappear, he maintains his career steadfast for 17 years. His language, strong, sophisticated, and at the same time sensible, connects with all tribes. In large festivals or in small basements, early or late night, his musical blueprint is unmistakable. Boghosian speaks with his audience in his own unique language. He has crafted the art of dosing nuances throughout the night, conducting ups and downs that allow a DJ to be in full control. It is only natural that, through the course of his career, he was chosen Brazil’s number 1 DJ by, Brazilian specialized, Cool Magazine, for 3 times. 

Through his residencies, in the legendary Warung Club for 8 years now, and in the high rising Colours party, or in his releases in labels such as Yoruba, Cecille, DFTD, AIA-D and SUDD, or with remixes for the likes of Marco Resmann, Boghosian stays true to his keen sense, propagating uninterruptedly what he does best, music for the music itself.

Monty Ozanne is a 24 year old DJ & producer from London, England and an all round nice guy! A lover of all things electronic music, Monty first found his taste for it in the London Drum & Bass, Dubstep and Garage scene before firmly finding his love for House and Techno upon moving to the South Coast.

With various parties and events on the South Coast as his inspiration, Monty went on to hone his sound in House and Techno taking big inspiration for tracks which are both melodic and very dance floor friendly.

With releases already secured with Made Crazy Music Sub-Label Recordings, Ozono Records, Koda Recordings and Optimal Sonance showcasing his versatility as a producer, Monty continues to push the boundaries with his ability to release brand new music while also showcasing himself as a DJ. After sending us his new music for over 2 years it goes to show that persistence pays off as we welcome this rising young star to the High Tide Recordings family. 2 original tracks and a remix from our very own Collective States complete this great package .
