Dastan translates to story. As a journeyman of dance music, and a fan of the longer form
experience, he’s been obsessed with quality sound and the state of being lost in music. Dastan
has been a resident DJ in Washington, D.C. for the last six years, championing residencies in
seminal nightclubs Flash & Eighteenth Street Lounge, as well as in the underground and
festival circuit. In 2020, he found a family playing consistently with Nick Warren’s imprint, The
Soundgarden, on their showcase streams. Over the years he’s been the Global Journey DJ for
Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, as well as finding himself playing globally, from in Europe,
North America and South America, as well as in remote locations and festivals where he’s been
summoned. Dastan has been called upon to support alongside some of his own heroes,
including Audiofly, Nick Warren, Behrouz, Holmar, Enamour, Jake the Rapper, Dee Montero,
Nox Vahn, Lunar Plane, & Dusky. Always finding himself on the darker side of deep
house/techno his sets dance to a strong middle eastern and tribal flair.

Karl Pilbrow’s passion and appreciation for music has been a lifelong affair. Originally coming from New Zealand, he moved to Melbourne in early 2012.

In the years following Karl began to experience the outdoor festival culture the city is renowned for, he could not help but fall in love with electronic music. This new-found affection took him to all parts of the globe, intent on learning more about the outdoor music culture, the communities involved, and most importantly… the music.

Fast forward to today and you’ll find one of the best exponents for Progressive House in Melbourne. Atmospheric, melodic, uplifting and groovy, Karl has dedicated himself to refining a sound that is true to himself and the music that inspires him.

In a career that only began three years ago Karl’s meteoric rise already seen many highlights. These include playing sunset on Sunset at Rainbow Serpent 2019, playing after Nick Warren (UK), warming up for Roger Martinez (NED), numerous sets at Burning Man 2017 and 2019 , performances at Babylon Festival and a residency with Melbourne outfit Coco Poco Loco.

Karl is also an integral part of community events company Wildwood, not only as a resident DJ but as an event manager and curator for Wildwood Podcast Series. This has produced the perfect creative outlet for both his music and his love for festival culture.

Während ich warte fällt mir auf, dass sich ansonsten niemand vor dem Raum oder im Flur befindet. Links und rechts von mir ist es menschenleer. Diese Einsamkeit bedrückt mich. Doch bevor ich mir weitere Gedanken machen kann, ertönt eine Stimme. Genau wie bei der Musik, kann ich nicht lokalisieren woher sie kommt. Aber irgendwie kommt mir der Klang der Stimme bekannt vor. Mir wird mitgeteilt, dass ich den Raum jetzt betreten kann: „Bitte folgen Sie der roten Linie bis zu ihrem zugewiesenen Platz.“ Direkt im Anschluss erscheint auf dem Boden eine leuchtende Linie, die mich an die hintere linke Ecke des Raumes führt. Auf dem Weg dorthin kann ich nur wenig von den anderen Mitmenschen im Raum erkennen. Jeder scheint in einer einzelnen kleinen Kabine zu stehen, welche so angeordnet sind, dass jeder einen freien Blick nach vorn hat. Kurz bevor ich meine Kabine betrete, sehe ich mich nochmal um und kann keine Tür mehr entdecken. Sie scheint wie vom Erdboden verschluckt zu sein. Stattdessen ist dort nur noch eine glatte Fläche. Als ich mich umdrehe, ist auf der Leinwand vor mir schon der Schriftzug ComRa zu sehen. Kurz darauf verschwindet der Schriftzug und das Licht geht aus. Für einen kurzen Augenblick herrscht völlige Finsternis. Plötzlich erkenne ich etwas Grünes im Augenwinkel. Etwas fliegt über unsere Köpfe durch den Raum. Es vermischt sich bald mit anderen Farben und es herrscht ein buntes Gewimmel im ganzen Raum. Bei genauer Betrachtung kann man einzelne Buchstaben ausmachen. Sie verlieren beim Wirbeln an Geschwindigkeit und bewegen sich kurz darauf auf die Leinwand zu. Dort nehmen sie wie von Geisterhand geleitet ihre Position ein und ergeben die Wörter „be the rave“. 
Als das Licht wieder angeht, steht Lighter plötzlich vor uns. „Yo ich hoffe euch hat unsere kleine Demonstration unserer futuristischen Lichttechnik gefallen.“ Ich wusste doch, ich kannte die Stimme irgendwoher!

Unser heutiger Gast dürfte euch auch bekannt sein. Nachdem er mehrere „free downloads“ bei uns rausgebracht hat, ist er auch verantwortlich für das zweite Release auf deep stories records. Biography (EN)

Elias Fassos & RisK (GR) is a Greek duo production and djs team. They work together last years based on electronic music scene with influences from ancestral frequencies with house, afro, organic , euphoric rhythms & melodies. 

Elias Fassos has spend 23 years as a dj and has close collaborations with best Greek & international djs. He has also countless residencies and guest appearances, always in top quality bars & clubs.

RisK (GR) (aka Nikos Kouris) is a radio and music producer for over 30 years. For 3 decades is a well known dj for his residencies in the best club of Greece (Athens, Mykonos) and guest in several clubs all over Greece, Cyprus and New York.

‘’Kashmir project’’ is their special proposition that brings to the dance floor a mix of spiritual electronic sounds with uptempo house beats.

For the next months they schedule to release several brand new original tracks & remixes that will surprise you. 
They are also preparing their guest appearances for summer 2021.

@nukreative is the music project and brainchild of Jamesen Re & Danny Bonnici, two of Australia's most respected pioneers of the Australian Dance Music scene.

One of Australia's most talented musicians and producers, Danny Bonnici is a true wizard of his craft with a long history in both the studio and on stage, most notably with seminal Australian progressive breaks outfit NuBreed.
Fellow Australian DJ/Producer Jamesen Re best known as the creator and visionary behind the truly iconic SUNNY SIDE UP parties during the late '90s and early 2000s, joined forces in 2017 tapping into their mutual passion for deep, melodic organic and atmospheric House Music.

In 2018 the duo made its mark on the global dance community with their hit release "Equanimity" on Magician On Duty with major support from the likes Double Touch, Kora and Sebastian Leger to name a few. Their follow up releases include labels such as Kindisch, Balance Music, Open Records, The Purr. 2020 has started off in fine style for the duo with releases All Day I Dream, Dusk Till Dawn and TRYBESof.

Born and raised in Brazil, Luiz Fernando Ribeiro aka LuizFribs delivers an energetic, acid and hard-driven live performance through aggressive melodies, heavy kicks and strong basslines, always supported by his violin, an old mate who is present in his life since the early days. His characteristic sound is strongly influenced by 80s synthpop, 90s trance and modern techno, has been out in labels such as IAMT (ESP), Autektone (ITA), Reload (ESP), Nin92wo (BRA) and Trau-ma (POR) and have received great supports from artists such as Ramiro Lopez, Xenia (UA), Deborah de Luca and Anfisa Letyago.  Fribs incorporates the violin into Techno on a very distinctive and unusual way, distorting, looping, stretching and heavily processing it in order to give the instrument a more modern and brutal sound. His live performance is marked by dynamic improvisations, where he feels free to create full tracks on demand, but also to execute his already known and released ones. In 2018, he was considered by the electronic music specialized website Play BPM one of the new highlights of the Brazilian Midwest Techno scene.  Counting on a regular releases calendar, LuizFribs is frequently featured at Goiânia Techno events’ line-up, such as Lost and Found, Shadow and Room Noise. The artist is always working on new tracks and evolving his live performance, and his work is definitely one to have an eye kept.

here is my set I played at the legendary Kiosk at KaterBlau in Berlin Sunday night for Britta Arnold's party Grrr mit Brrr ⚫️✖️

KaterBlau for me has always been more than a club, it’s a musical landmark, a playground full of surprises, a cosy and unique space to be free and one of my favourite places on earth! 

the Berlin crowd is very educated. they are in a way even spoiled with good music all the time, yet they are so open and welcoming to anything and you can see and feel that they want to support new and excited faces! 

i felt very comfortable and welcomed behind the decks even though i was beyond excited to play amongst my biggest inspirations and my legs were still shaking towards the end of my set.

the sound of the recording is unfortunately not the highest quality, but i still want to share it with you and i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed playing it 🌟💫

ELIF, in collaboration with Sanoi, offers us a taste of her self-taught, nomadic style of music as medicine with ‘Entanglement’, a slow-burning story told with beats and sound.

Something soulful has been not-so-quietly simmering in the heart of Berlin for the past fifteen years. Familiar yet distinctive, restorative but energizing, a solace and a storm: Stil vor Talent.

More than a label, Stil vor Talent is a family. As we reach our fifteenth year together, we honor and celebrate our artists, staff, crew, dancers and listeners.  We marvel at the thousands of hours of incredible music released. We respect the tenacity, skill and courage of our artists. We tip our hats to the community we have created over fifteen years of throwing parties and festivals. 

With full hearts, we reflect on the laughter, the fun, the dancing, the connections.  Strangers have become friends, nights turned into days, and millions of steps have been meted out on the dancefloor as we journey with music together, creating pure magic in streets and clubs and festivals all over the world. This is acceptance, this is diversity, this is love.

We salute you: thank you for helping us to keep the dream alive. Now we invite you to celebrate the collective evolution of fifteen years of diverse styles, innumerable talents, friendship, collaboration and community under the Stil vor Talent umbrella.

Our 15th-anniversary gift is a nod to the evolution of Stil vor Talent: we present two 11 track compilations that will scratch every musical itch. From the downright dirty dancefloor bangers to the gentler melancholic tracks more suited to the day-after-the-nights before,
