PODCAST #28 - Introspection - hosted by Chamar

Compositor y productor musical chileno/británico, nacido en Epsom, Inglaterra.

Actualmente está preparando el lanzamiento de su primer material como artista en solitario. Un EP que pretende ser un viaje ecléctico que recoge y transforma sonidos del folklore de los Andes, filtrados a través de una visión distópica de la electrónica. Este material será lanzado durante el primer trimestre del 2022 y su secuela ya está en fase de pre-producción, que contempla un viaje a la selva del Perú para captar material audio visual.

La experiencia de vida de Matisein, le ha llevado a absorber múltiples estilos e influencias musicales. Éstas abarcan artistas desde los Beatles, al folklore y la nueva canción chilena de Quilapayún, Victor Jara e Inti-Illimani, pasando sonoridades del breakdance y rap de Grand Master Flash, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, mutando hacia rock, funk con sabores de Red Hot Chili Peppers y Rage Against The Machine e incluso el metal de Pantera, sumado a la corriente chilena de Los Tetas y Tiro de Gracia. Sus viajes a Europa también lo empaparon de la cultura de la electrónica de Ministry of Sound, Drum n Bass y Garage.

Tambien se desarrolla como miembro activo de Astropoetas y Temple Agents, quienes preparan LPs a ser lanzados durante el primer trimestre del 2022.

FLØAT erzählt mit seinen Sets Geschichten und malt sie so richtig bunt aus. Querfeldein zwischen ambienten Beats, groovigem House und knusprigem Techno. Schon ewig und 3 Tage (so genau wissen wir das gar nicht mehr, der Typ war auf jeden Fall sehr jung) jongliert er mit Tracks aus aller Welt.

FLØAT tells stories with his sets and paints them in a really colorful way. Cross-country between ambient beats, groovy house and crispy techno.
He has been juggling tracks from all over the world for ages and 3 days (we don't really know anymore, the guy was definitely very young).
