This week we are back with a deep stripped-down set, mixed by Subd from Brazil. He embraces a dark and hypnotic sound, exactly what the South American minimal sound currently illustrates as well as its perfect fit to Implimind. The Brazilian minimalist is trying to make his name, where he strives everything to be perfect, even the smallest details. He is also busy producing lately and he has been making fast progress. You recognize that similar deep minimalistic sound just like his sets. 

This 1.5-hour journey is filled with lot of new tracks, as well as unreleased tracks. Subd starts with a slow tempo with long transitions and deep tracks. After that, he easefully gives the set more energy by pushing up the pace and adding rollin basslines. However, he still keeps the set nice stripped, with weird sounds, hypnotic synths and minimalistic drums. Enjoy the trip!

Implicit Mind Cast 015: .subd

We continue our Podcast Series with a mix hosted by one of the founders of https://soundcloud.com/modum-podcast, https://soundcloud.com/kyle-mckendrick. This Manchester-based DJ is known for his stripped-back sound and he’s projecting this in his Implicit Mind Cast too. As a producer he’s has been making progress, which is reflected in his tracks. For example his newest ‘Easter Blend’, a smooth stripped-back track available on Bandcamp. With Modum, he and his friends were focussing on secret location parties and had support from the biggest names in minimal like Herck, Sepp, Suciu & Nu Zau. Also, they have a Podcast Series, with over 20 podcasts and every single one worth checking!

Kyle takes us on his journey, where he provides us with a smooth collection of tracks including his own work. In this one hour set, he is projecting his deep minimalistic sound, which is warm and full of body. Besides the minimalistic atmosphere, he continuously drops bassline after bassline, which keeps the set in a consistently rolling vibe. Both components are perfectly mixed by the skilled artist. We would say: enjoy it!

This year we kick off with a 1 hour and 40 minutes live jam from the Ukrainian producer @melihron. The sound designer improvises his sets with complex textures and grooves where he uses a lot of minimalistic bits and backgrounds of deep atmospheric sounds as well as fragments of environmental recordings, which creates the feeling of listening to a whole pulsating organic structure. He, of course, has multiple releases on different labels like at [flat] or a vinyl release with his project @sugubo together with @pridi on Yarn Records. 

Melihron leads us through his trip of stripped-back grooves. Expect deep elements, smooth transitions, hypnotic synths and switching rhythms all created by himself. Enjoy this impressive recorded live session!
