Heyo everyone, this is the second time i write this because my dumbass literally closed the tab while i was uploading, so as i was saying, this song is definitely not a clickbaited version of the 10th anniversarry celebration song megalovania. Yep you totally haven't been trolled. Anyways this is kind of the "draft" for the song i'm planning to post for uhh the 10th anniversarry of course, but yk i had to post some shit since i havent really posted alot lately on my soundcloud nor my youtube channel ( which is also dead as fuck so check it out please i'll leave a link down here ). sooo yeh it's kinda a little shitty? some girl said. ( she's a noob musician trust) sooo like make sure to follow me to not miss the 10th anniversarry megalovania that's coming up ( hopefully ) and uhhh maybe consider liking the song cause it'll actually boost my motivation to make that song :D !

This version is more of the emotional aspect of this transformation we see in Undertale. Undyne is rising from the ashes not outta hopes and dreams, but with dread, sorrow, anger, knowing one thing on her mind, failure isn’t a factor. This idea takes from this. From how I see this song playing.  and you know what’s crazy? This idea wasn’t even mine and I love Cyberpunk Edgerunners. This was all Shade.”  - Crusadin

Hi this is Shade again. As the other guy mentioned, this track takes a lot of inspiration from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, specifically Maine's theme. I wanted to convey a mix of dread and pain, but also hope and faith. Like, hope that beats stronger with every drop of blood. It's about Undyne feeling a power burning inside of her, something that just won't let her fall, not without a fight. It's difficult to put these sentiments into words, but hopefully you'll get what I mean.

As for the track itself, I feel like I may have "overdone" it, considering the cutscene doesn't really last more than one minute, but still, I wanted to try out doing something more "epic" for this. Stay tuned for the next song TOMORROW!

114 - But The Earth Refused To Die

"Alright so this idea is something I came up with Shade (also it's me crusadin, hi) the idea is to make this song feel not hopeful, but outta pure dread, dread that Undyne is trying to kill you, before she kills herself from her raw power. Something I feel like I should mention is that in the neutral run, if you fight undyne and kill her, she melts and I think the idea I came up with was when Shade was watching Cyberpunk Edgerunners. The theme of the show really shown through the song (or the last track, if you know, you know). I feel very happy to help with this idea and have it based on something different, while also being a serious song, while making it 10 times darker than the original. Like I said before, this version isn’t outta hope and dreams, this is more outta pure dread, anxious, and anger with a mixture of frustrating to fight YOU the player to make you feel the intensity against the original concept." - Crusadin 

Hi again it's me Shade. This track takes a similar approach to BTERTD. It's supposed to sound like a struggle between Undyne and the human: Hope vs dread, faith vs fate. Two extremely powerful and determined beings killing each other for the fate of the whole world. It's a track that starts with a slow build up, just as slow as the route was before this moment. Then, the drop hits, distant and slow, but focused. Each attack from Undyne is calculated as she is fully focused on the fight. But as the track progresses, it becomes faster, as the fight becomes more chaotic and Undyne starts to become desperate to stop you. FInally, the ending symbolizes that, even if Undyne lost here, her hope doesn't die, as she is certain that her friends will be able to stop you, right?

This track went through a whole bunch of versions. The very first one was much more soundfont-heavy and went for a more orchestral and fast approach, but it sounded like shit, so I eventually made this arrangement which also went through like 4 or 5 mixing versions before landing on this one. Having said that, enjoy!

The End..?

This is the song that everybody wanted to hear, right?
This is it. Debatably, the most recognizable and "iconic" song from Undertale, and part of what launched it to success.
Tackling this song in specific was hard. Unlike what you'd think, this song's development started like around one year after I started uploading this soundtrack, which was exactly two years ago, so I guess this is an anniversary track for UT ALT specifically (don't worry, I have something on the way for the actual game's anniversary). This track went through at least four version, with V3 being the final product until at least a couple months ago, where I felt strongly unsatisfied with it and decided to revamp it almost completely. Of course, many elements of V3 are still present on this version, but this one feels much more unique, and I'm satisfied with the result.

Some of the inspirations for this song are 'The Unseen Ones' from Hades, 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson, 'The End of All Things' from dave minecraft: trapped,  Megalovania Hard-Mode by Vesperr, and of course the countless AU Megalovania replacements I've heard throughout the years in UTSC. In-game, this song should feel like divine punishment, like the consequences of your actions finally caught up to you and that you are royally fucked up, but aside from that, I wanted this song to be a love letter to a community that, with ups and downs, has brought me to where I am right now.
