To come ‘Full Circle’ is to travel the path and arrive back at the point you think you left from.

Full Circle, also known as Alexis Le-Tan (Wonders Ovze World) and Joakim (Tigersushi, Crowdspacer), a long term project with close friends Le-Tan and Joakim music project and “concept band born from loving ears that want to re-process our electronic past.”

They’ve delivered some amazing edits of obscure Goa tracks and remixed the likes of Die Orangen, 10Lec6, and Tapan and released on Good Morning Tapes and Vladimir Ivkovic’s Offen.

“To complete a journey is to learn and to slow down and re-imagine is to enrich – Full Circle hears the hedonistic sound of the 90’s in a light that reflects a different space for our current time and beyond. Always bridging the gap between the past and present: they are and continue to go Full Circle.”

Full Circle, el proyecto en dúo de Alexis Le-Tan y Joakim, comenzó hace 10 años cuando Alexis descubrió accidentalmente que algunos de sus antiguos discos de Goa Trance, que estaba a punto de vender, sonaban genial cuando se reproducían a la velocidad incorrecta: 33rpm en lugar de 45rpm. Llamó a su amigo y colaborador de larga data, Joakim, para trabajar en ediciones de esas pistas, que se convirtieron en la firma sonora de este dúo de DJ: un sonido lento, pesado y psicodélico que eventualmente se infiltraría en los márgenes de la escena de clubes underground a través de DJs afines como Vladimir Ivkovic, Jane Fitz, Ivan Smagghe y muchos más.

Diez años después y con un montón de lanzamientos y remixes a sus espaldas, Full Circle decidió contar la historia de cómo nació este sonido Goa. En un momento en que el Trance ha hecho un gran regreso e infiltrado prácticamente todos los subgéneros de la música de club, parecía adecuado mirar hacia atrás a donde todo comenzó - cerrando el círculo, cuando el Trance no era Trance, Goa no era Goa, pero se estaban sembrando las semillas de la música de baile psicodélica.

Después de todo, hay innumerables compilaciones sobre el Balearismo, la escena cósmica italiana, The Loft, The Paradise Garage, etc., pero ninguna sobre las raíces de este sonido Goa. Esta es una compilación de las mejores canciones tocadas por los pioneros DJs de Goa como Laurent, Goa Gil, Mike Maguire, entre otros, entre finales de los 80 y principios de los 90. Proto House, New Beat, early Techno, Industrial, con un tono psicodélico distintivo, algunos arpegios aquí y allá, líneas ácidas, voces cortadas, todos elementos de lo que más tarde constituiría un género propio.

Esta compilación bellamente empaquetada incluye notas de Tom Colebrooke y extractos de la entrevista de Tom y Alexis a Mike Maguire, famoso por Juno Reactor, uno de los pioneros del Goa Trance. Además saldrá en vinilo en un LP de dos vinilos transparentes el 28 de Junio. Mientras te adelantamos el track B3.

Principles Of Geometry = 2 bearded cosmic twins. They live in North of France, they are obsessed with vintage analog synths, they are control freaks, hippie nerds, they like moustache, NASA videos, woods and Dakota. 
This should already give you an idea of what you're about to listen. 
This is their second record but their first real album on which they've been working for almost two years. 
Lazare is an ambitious album that synthetises decades of electronic music incorporating John Carpenter's dramatic minimalism, Terry Riley's smokey loops, Wendy Carlos' synthetic melodies, Hip Hop urbanism and Aphex Twinesque avant-garde electronic tweaking. Nevertheless, no nostalgia here, because like in every good synthesis, you face something new, you are even propelled in a future where Sebastien Tellier sings on Italo Luv music  a new kind of slow motion Italo Disco (A Mountain Of One), Mcs like Cannibal Ox and Hangar18 ride wild beats towards Wagner's Walkyrie (988), and Jackson meets Boards of Canada on a boat (Titan, Golem, Interstate Highway System). 
Here, songs are like pictures, detailed encephalograms of Principles Of Geometry's moods, complex and beautiful geometric patterns, a poetry of the infinite. But for them, the most essential aspect of music is Emotion, it is the core of everything. Be it layers of melodies or beats avalanches, the goal is always to trigger an emotion, to talk to the mind more than the body. And they do so with such talent that you can always find something new within their songs, some hidden subliminal details. 

For POG, this is a life-like album. 

Last thing, the artwork was supervised by POG with a beautiful cover photograph by american artist Justine Kurland.
