Between fairytale atmospheres, full-bodied basslines, and rolling grooves, the Italian Jamahr established himself as one of the most exciting acts in the European panorama. Hailing from Biella – a small city near Turini – Mario started in 2008, and since then, He has constantly put a lot of passion and dedication to craft his unique rousing sound, working under the alias jamahr.

During those years, he has built a solid reputation in the underground scene with vinyl releases on acclaimed labels such as Tamango Records, Mulen, What NxT, Politics of Dancing and EWax to name a few, with his music played by giants from the likes of Enzo Siragusa, Marco Carola, Cesar Merveille and Yaya among others. 

In 2020 he decided to start his own vinyl-only Captea label, an outer space microcosm to let the wings of fantasy flow freely without any genre boundaries, only one prerogative: quality music that can last over time. At the moment in his vinyl records there are great remixer such as: Liquid Earth (in the beginning  Urulu) and T. Jacques.

After our first spontaneous and second instantly connecting B2B, we were invited by Doel Festival in Belgium September 2022, which was held in a deserted ghost town just a few kilometers from Antwerp. 
It was a very rainy day, but still many people had come out to dance :) 
We felt inspired by the energy of the location together with the stormy weather, and went for tracks that resonated with the vibe and amazing crowd we played for.

We are really happy to have found each other, blending our own styles together, while connecting our musical and personal journeys <3

Before Records boss Ben Jones is still to some a relatively new face on the scene, but in the few short years he has been active he has covered an impressive amount of ground. Having already come to attention of many of our scenes trend setters and this has been in part due to Ben’s slamming releases for labels such as Enzo Siragusa’s LCS Trax and of course his very own Before Records.

His imprint has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2018 and the Liverpool based artist is already up the third edition of the label which we recently shone a light on. The rising talent is clearly going places so it was a no brainer to have him flex for our InSession series and the tight combo of minimal, house and garage is the perfect day time soundtrack for those hazy mornings or sweaty afternoon sessions.
