North hive - electro-acoustic project, founded on May,2012 in Saint – Petersburg. Project works in such directions as Ambient, Drone, Soundscape. The main idea in all the experiments with sound and space is creation soundscapes of "artificial nature".

Our music is all about pure being in moment. We make sound sculptures in live, that makes your souls feel peacefulness, and allows you to immerse your mind in the trance state. In our sounds we use live fx-guitar, Microphone with various percussion instruments and sounds, field recordings, and computer programming. Also we like any experiments with mixing styles(Idm, jazz, Tribal, ethnic). At the moment, we are preparing to release our second album. We actively play live at various festivals, clubs, galleries, and show-rooms. Welcome to the temple of sacral sound and have a nice trip into yourself!

Cassette Drone Dharma

We were first introduced to Muscut via the intriguing Waltz 7" that our good friend House of Traps was stocking in his temporary record shop The Living Mountain. Operating out of the former Eastern Bloc, Muscut is a label with it's own unique identity and sound. We became fans right away. Fast forward a couple of years and thanks to our mutual friend Daniel Hallstrom (who happened to be spending a summer in Kiev), we eventually met up and got to play some records together. Big thanks to both the Dmytro's for recording this mix for us and all the best for 2018! Look out for a forthcoming archival compilation that Nikolaienko is working on. Wild, experimental electronic music from the former USSR taking in animation soundtracks, library works and more....
