LAUT is Barcelona's favorite club for many. Its program offering, intimacy and excellent sound quality, attract every weekend a community of electronic music lovers. The perfect setting for a TILECT event. 

That 10th of April 2022,  the club was soldout at 1:30am. The atmosphere, loaded with positive vibrations, is difficult to put into words...

Sundays' events at Macarena Club are curated by the local legend Anika Kunst. On this occasion, she invited Alex Lauks and Røpe, representing TILECT.art, to share the booth with Vanity Dust. 

The concept was clear:  GROOVE

Vanity Dust warmed up the room for an hour, then Røpe took the lead for a couple of hours (this recording you are listening to right now), followed by an improvised b2b between Alex Lauks and Vanity that kept us dancing until the end of the night (set also recorded, uploaded by Alex soon)

 Con Death Whistle, Víctor García traslada el aura potente y cinemática de sus obras al escenario y a la pista a través de paisajes sonoros, ruidismo y punzantes melodías que envuelven a la espectadora en una experiencia desarmante, inmersiva, subterránea, prófuga irresoluble entre lo onírico y lo terrenal. Sus impactantes directos le han ganado una y otra vez el favor de una audiencia rendida.

Affine Dark Science with OIKAM ORIM

Medulla Oblongata is a discreet yet emerging Dj who blossoms in his musical biotope between ambient and a mental and hypnotic techno. His techno sets are an invitation to an immersive journey where dancers can forget themselves. We could see him working lately with the Château Perché Festival and their secret and uncompromising side projects and at KALT (Strasbourg, Fr) where he can express himself without boundaries.

With other weirdos he also co-founded the collective TRÊVE gathering artists from different horizons around ambient and visual arts in order to propose dreamlike and contemplative events. His ambient sets become hybridized with tape samples, droning machine loops and synthesizers.

Neha Lennia - originally known as Stavroula Aroni- is an improvising artist from Greece.
Born and raised in Pireas, she studied business
administration while her artistic side blooms even from her early bird age. Heavily inspired by lots of music styles -included industrial, IBM, all around rock, shoegaze, metal etc) and their artworks from cassettes and cds, starts making visual art even from her adolescent era till nowadays, obtaining a unique occult, strange and unusual style and enriching it with many other influences as well. Her relentless oversearching for innovative genres contributes for building the staircase to mount the acquiring of a musical selector character and many years ago, her dj side persona. Neha Lennia’s aesthetic and style influenced even from pioneering proto-industrial techno ventures till ethno, tribal, experimental and captivatingly bold dungeon timbres. Her sets a perpetual tangling and pulsating with energy and mood swings between uncompromising acuity to exospherical soundscapes.

Kareem, fundador de Zhark Recordings Berlin, ha presentado material pesado de pistas blindadas desde el año 1996, desafiando al auditorio, empujándolos a lo profundo del abismo.

Su definición de Zharkesthetic radica en transmitir un estado claustrofóbico, una atmósfera de arquitectura de sonido amenazante que desafía constantemente las inofensivas convenciones del medio de baile electrónico.

Su cartera abarca desde docenas de lanzamientos de vinilo en Zhark, hasta colaboraciones con productores de techno industrial como Ancient Methods o Dave Foster, también conocido como /ϟ/HUREN/ϟ/.
Además, Kareem ha contribuido a proyectos como el Documental Techno Paris/Berlín de Amélie Ravalec, 20 años de techno underground, la compilación de 10 años de aniversario de Perc o la serie de vinilos conceptuales Connor Thomas de Boomkat The Death of Rave.

Kareem ha jugado en lugares importantes como Berghain, Tresor o Katharsis (Ámsterdam) y ha estado transmitiendo su oscura visión de Techno como DJ y en sesiones en vivo de larga duración.


For the thirty-eighth podcast of our channel we present Kareem.

Kareem, Founder of Zhark Recordings Berlin, has been presenting heavy armoured track material since the year 1996 challenging the auditory, pushing them deep into the abyss.

His definition of the Zharkesthetic lies in conveying a claustrophobic state, an atmosphere of threatening sound architecture constantly challenging the innocuous conventions of the electronic dance medium.

His portfolio ranges from dozens of vinyl releases on Zhark, to release collaborations with industrial techno producers such as Ancient Methods or Dave Foster aka /ϟ/HUREN/ϟ/. 
Kareem has furthermore contributed to projects such as Amélie Ravalec’s Techno Documentary Paris/Berlin 20 years of underground Techno, Perc’s 10 year anniversary compilation or Boomkat’s Connor Thomas conceptional vinyl series The Death of Rave. 

Kareem has played major venue such as Berghain, Tresor or Katharsis (Amsterdam) and has been transmitting his dark vision of Techno both as a DJ and in intense long enduring Live Set sessions.

Alessandro is the head of Mannequin Records and the resident dj / curator of the bi-monthly Mannequin Records nacht at Berghain/Panorama Bar. Since moving to Berlin in 2013, he introduced an array of obscure techno, electro, ebm, minimal synth, post-punk and experimental records through his own imprint. His music production is deeply influenced by the use of analog equipment from the 70's and the 80's. His recording studio, based in Berlin, is filled with some of the most amazing synthesizers, drum machines and outboard produced during that period. His dj and production skills brought him to work with music institutions like Berghain, Tresor, Redbull Music Academy, Resident Advisor, Boiler Room, Atonal Festival and so on. In 2019 he started a music collaboration with the electro producer The Hacker as 'Amato & Adriani', followed by a release and an extensive tour around Europe. Aside from his work in releasing forgotten gems and up to the minute synth incantations, Alessandro Adriani has also been quietly issuing out his own music for labels like Mannequin, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Pinkman and Jealous God. We are very happy to start a new podcast series, focusing on Ambient music. For the first episode, we honored to welcome the Berlin-based DJ X tin. 

Enjoy this beautiful 1 hour trip, between dark and atmospheric vibes through drone and field recording sounds.

Those Ambient Sleepers podcasts will be aired bi-monthly on the radio Refuge Worldwide / @refugeworldwide (a fundraising platform working with a young womxn’s centre, refugee, etc.. / offering visibility to minorities and fights against all kinds of discrimination).

Austrian-born, she started off producing electronic music and being active part of Salzburgs underground techno szene, with two releases out on local labels. Berlin shaped her exploring worlds between dark dystopian techno, hypnotic and experimental ambient, which she blends in carefully curated mixes since 2015.

X tin, in her hometown by choice, played at many major venues and events, amongst others - THE BRVTALIST in Ohm and FLEISCH, further in Munich, Rote Sonne for Mess. Internationally, her music could be heard in Paris Champ Libre, fashion weeks Cicciolina Party, Organik festival afterparty in Korner-Taipei, PAG in Tel Aviv, EXILE and APHOTIC in New York and Volnost in Seoul. She holds residencies in Disciplina - Vladivostok/RU, Trashera - Berlin and Heizkeller - Salzburg.

In her own productions, field recording plays an essential role. Shapeshifting sound experiments, drifting from meditative dream like ethereal scenes to intense bone deep noise nightmares, presented in the form of live pieces for various performances by Butoh dancer VALENTIN TSZIN in Russia and various locations all over europe.

She uses sound to connect to the crowd through deep emotions and fills up the room with atmospheric intense trips in waveform. Distorting genres, blurring lines between styles and layering sceneries, while never lacking a specific taste and powerful character. An eclectic choice of rhythms are sending travellers through deep ambient, mesmerizing electronic up to dark hypnotic- and energetic industrial techno.

Her signature is described by a room full of intense feelings, sweat and a never lost lust for moving bodies.
