Sitting watching trains est une composition issue, entre autres d’un travail antérieur, « Lettre à Irma », composée en mai 2020 durant le premier confinement, une pièce faite de matières sonores enregistrées lorsque Toulouse fut vidée de ses habitants. La rumeur de la ville avait alors cessé. J’ai ainsi passé toutes les nuits avec Aurélien Caillaux pendant un mois à enregistrer les nouvelles sonorités de la ville libérée.

Dans Sitting Watching trains, vous pouvez écouter les sonorités de la gare de Toulouse où seuls des trains passent sans voyageurs et celles des livreurs en vélo, derniers habitants nocturnes d’une ville vidée de ses passants noctambules. Ces sonorités m’ont permis de trouver un rythme, des débuts d’harmonicité à creuser. A partir de ces trames, j’ai composé le reste de cette proposition musicale dont les matières ont été obtenues majoritairement à partir des manipulations des enregistrements faits pour la pièce sonore « Lettre à Irma ». Cette pièce existe aussi en version 8.1.


Sitting watching trains is a composition coming from, among other things, a previous work, "Lettre à Irma", composed in May 2020 during the first confinement, is a piece made of sound materials recorded when Toulouse was emptied of its inhabitants. The rumor of the city had then ceased. I thus spent every night, with Aurelien Caillaux, for a month recording the new sounds of the liberated city.

In Sitting Watching trains, you can listen to the sounds of Toulouse station where only trains pass without passengers and those of delivery men on bicycles, the last nocturnal inhabitants of a city emptied of its night owls passers-by. These sounds allowed me to find a rhythm, the beginnings of harmonicity to dig into. From these frames, I composed the rest of this musical proposal whose materials were obtained from the manipulations of the recordings made for the sound piece "Lettre à Irma". This sound piece also exists in 8.1 format.

Hypnos is a dream; Hypnos is a passage through the mosaic of memories and flashes of the closed eye state. It disputes the concepts of time flow, sleepiness, and variable points of focus. The piece is written in the Dastgāh-e Māhur Persian scale and explores certain harmonic states and motivic groups that are the characteristic components of a dream, my Persian dream.

A strange incident took place in the 1990s in late autumn in the taiga. Not far from the epicenter of the Tunguska meteorite impact site. A group of students went hiking to to see this legendary site. They lost their way after they decided to spend the night in one of the winter huts built by hunters of the land. Their mutilated bodies were later found near an old abandoned geological base with radiation burns. Ugasanie explores this incident together with photographer Alexsandr Yakushev in this eerily cold and unforgiving dark ambient release.
