Since learning the ropes in Glasgow’s underground with early releases on Optimo Music and a residency at the famous Art School club, Thomas Lea Clarke aka https://soundcloud.com/mrtcmusic has spent the past 10 years delving into the recesses of experimental electronic club music with his own productions, playing live shows, doing some remixes, mixing and meeting a lot of people along the way. We first met in 2016 both spinning at a Blue Cheese party. These days he works at a radio station and tends to https://soundcloud.com/phasegroup, the label he started with Lo Kindre.

His hobbies are spending time on his own recording sounds, or to be with close ones, eating something good, having a drink and sharing a moment. He runs to keep fit and likes spending time in nature whenever he can. He's easily distracted, not sure if that’s a bad thing though - if he's good at working on multiple things at once, or bad at focusing on one thing at a time.

His mix meanders through some kind of dreamspace with ghostly appearances. He's in no hurry but quickly grabs you by the throat. 'Wherever you may go in life… just don't stop the dance'

081 - Unrushed by Jo Johnson

An unexpected sequel, exploring the same records and moods as a previous recording in Beijing. This is taken from a recent show for Nurture x Liminal Dreams at The Observatory in Saigon. The plan had been a full spectrum set, but the energy did not feel right. Instead, I decided to play warm and comforting beats, focusing on my musical 'childhood', records from the late 90s - mid 00s. The mixing and presentation is meant to be gentle and relaxing. Enjoy.

A 4-hour drift through layered atmospheres and leftfield experimentation, this extended opening set by Pianeti Sintetici marked the beginning of DE RIO’s 6th anniversary celebration, a 14-hour open-air gathering held in a hidden location among the hills of Florence. Known for his deeply textured sonic explorations and immersive works, Pianeti Sintetici invited early listeners into a slow-burning journey. Moving from fragile drones and spatial electronics to abstract rhythms and weightless transitions, the set established a space of introspection, friction, and quiet intensity.

This year’s edition was Remember When, a perfect theme for a gathering that celebrates the spirit of the past. This set is from the main stage, sharing a 3 hour afternoon slot with my Comox crew, Nick and Craig. I opened with some deep faves, pulling old records to help warm things up after the rain cleared.

The vibe was relaxed, and people slowly made their way back to the floor. Playing with Nick and Craig made it even more special. We’ve played together a lot, but this one stood out.

Big thanks to Matt Rose and everyone who puts their heart into Remember. It’s rare to find a space like this, and I’m grateful to be part of it. ❤️ ✨ 🌲
