Passwar D is an alien frequency being who fell to Earth from outer space. Fascinated by human experiences and the complex emotions they evoke, it wires itself through human imagination and creates sonic art forms to articulate its earthly observations.

Passwar D forthcoming debut album Personal Cosmology was pe-premiered at Teorema Festival in Barcelona, and it is the artist-in-residence at Brooklyn based music collective DJ's Daughter.

Stellar Series Episode 78 - Passwar D (New Beginnings)

Live recording of my 2nd room performance at the Kajunga World stage for a midwest festival in July 2024.

RIYL 90s Jungle, IDM, Aphex Twin, ACID

This set was influenced by a Grant Wilson-Claridge (half of Rephlex Records) dj set for an early 2000s Rephlex label tour. Grant closed the night with ragga jungle and AFX Acid Jungle.

This is my attempt at connecting the dots across current Jungle styles in a mostly deep zone from 3XL to Future Retro / Tim Reaper to Sully and experimental regions between before the AFX drill n bass rinse out finish.

This set idea has been stewing in my brain for 20 years. Mad props to Kajunga Records for giving me a platform and live audience to make this happen!

Konduku (a.k.a. Ruben Üvez) burst onto the scene in 2018 with his debut album Kıran, named after the picturesque hill in Turkey's Cappadocia under which his father is buried. That man and that place are in many ways the inspiration behind this unique artist's arresting blending of atmospheric melodica and polyrhythmic drive, grounded in equal measure upon the mystifying beauty of his ancestral home and the thrilling electronic music scene of the Netherlands in which he was raised.

His Patterns of Perception 46 perfectly reflects these dual complementary forces, at once arcane and palpable. And perhaps the third vital foundation upon which this mix's incandescent energy stands is the process by which it was created: two turntables, one take.

Patterns of Perception 46 - Konduku

The Bunker Podcast was started back in 2007 when barely any electronic music podcasts existed if you can imagine such a thing. This was pre-Soundcloud when file hosting was expensive and most people didn't understand how to publish an RSS feed, and portable digital recorder technology wasn't that advanced yet. In the early days, the podcast was made up entirely of sets recorded at The Bunker parties.  At some point artists went from being super excited that we wanted to put their sets online and knew how to do it, to being really squeamish about putting out "imperfect" sets recorded in a live context. So we more or less took some years off from podcasting sets. In recent years, we started releasing sets that weren't necessarily recorded at the party and the podcast picked up steam again. In any case, it's nice that The Bunker Podcast 200 is actually a recording from a party, and even nicer that it's brought to you by our long term resident DJ, Derek @plaslaiko.

artist statement: "This was recorded at a party thrown by the crew at WYA Chicago in early August, 2019. The party itself was incredible! Great sound in a perfect sized room filled with people that were completely going off! Can’t really ask for much more than that. I wanted this to be a Bunker Podcast because I think it’s a great example of how I strive to play every time. This one is a 3 hour long “storytelling” set covering house and techno and everything that falls between. Mostly new tracks with a few classics peppered in to push the buttons on a few of my friends who came out. I hope you enjoy listening to it, as I sure as hell had fun recording it."

Erika is the kind of artist who can make the ground crystalize underneath your feet, sending shivers throughout every tender nerve. Anyone who has seen her play can attest to how her lucid composure behind the decks juxtaposes her innate ability to twist and transform the ecosystem of a dancefloor into an absolute frenzy. Also known as one half of the renowned electro act Ectomorph, she has been deeply entrenched in the Detroit scene since the emergence of her revered Interdimensional Transmissions imprint in 1994. We at UNRUSH are honored to provide this time-honored pioneer and experimentalist the space to make some selections from the other side of her record bag. A chilling selection, indeed.
