Brooklyn’s Razor-N-Tape have been knocking hot disco edits out of the park since 2012. Their Reserve imprint was later created as an outlet for more housey content, but it’s evolved to encompass varied genres and is RNT’s primary channel for new original music. Next up on RNT Reserve is Felipe Gordon, based in Colombia’s capital Bogotaì, Felipe is a renaissance man. The producer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and label head is nothing short of a phenomenon, effortlessly fusing complex sound combinations from jazz samples to flowing pianos and acid bass lines into hugely exciting and unique house cuts.  It’s a sound which comes together perfectly to create tracks which have been moving waves worldwide over the last couple of years. Felipe has released a string of well regarded tracks and worked on remixes for Shall Not Fade, Toy Tonics, Heist Recordings, Razor-N-Tape and his own Noìmada Records.

Wow is all I can say. I predict big things for Northampton's @soulgroovebeat. This immensely deep, soulful groove is something that US house legends would be proud to call their own. Sensual, subtle and beautiful, 'Late Night At Jazz Colossus' was inspired by Soul Groove's trip to a jazz gig, and every element of this gorgeous track is spot on, with a brilliant muted trumpet solo set against an infectious female vocal and balmy keys. The Breakbeat Jazz mix on the release is perhaps even more special still. A big win for the increasingly-impressive @feedasoulrecords.

The coloured vinyl sub-label pairs music associated with the season of release with the coloured vinyl that fits with that season. 001 due for release in summer season features laid back hazy synth patterns and groove ridden drum sequences, served up on a stunning blue marbled vinyl, just like the sky on a luscious summers day.
