DJ Pierre's cult classic ‘What is House Muzik?’ gets remastered and reissued on Get Physical Music. The Ricardo Villalobos dub makes its digital debut as part of the German powerhouse label's 800th release.

This is another vital instalment of Get Physical Music's classic reissue series. It features a track first released in 1994 and was also part of DJ Pierre’s Wild Pitch: The Story album back in 2017, while the Ricardo Villalobos Dub was a vinyl-only release in 2014.

DJ Pierre's name is forever synonymous with house music, particularly the acid sound he pioneered in the' 80s. Staying true to the underground since then, he's consistently released vital tracks, innovated with his Wild Pitch style and now his Afro Acid label. Pierre continues to push boundaries with each new outing while this reissue proves that his earliest works are still some of house music's best ever.

'What is House Muzik' is an almost 10-minute masterpiece that's perfectly designed for gritty warehouse spaces and comes complete with an anthemic vocal monologue. It's dark and distorted with monstrous kicks and oversized hi-hats, a frazzled lead synth line and a marching groove that is lit up with strobe-lit details to get hands in the air.

Fellow electronic legend and minimal pioneer Ricardo Villalobos then steps up with his epic 36 minutes 'What Is Dub' version. It is a classic rework from the Chilean and features plenty of his signature designs - filtered vocals and deft sine waves, dry drum sounds and warped, dubby rhythms that are paranoid and still futuristic sounding all these years later. The package is completed with an acapella version.

We have the pleasure to welcome to the Tupiar Family the Ukrainain producer - Max (Maxim) Tolmachev. Born on the 4th of February 1987 in the town of Chernivtsi (Ukraine) Max provides a combination of different layers of modern house, tech-house, techno music, Max creates danceable, groove tech music that perfectly fits the requirement of any contemporary event. In 2011 Max launched a career as a producer, which resulted in the acclaimed releases at some of most famous labels of the movement. His production ideas combines ideally, giving birth to this episode of unusual and interesting high-quality new sound with breaks and minimal techno beats, topped with some smooth vocals. London's DJ-Producer Rowlanz comes on board with a great remix for Sonora delivering to us this exquisite EP consisting in 3 original tracks and 1 remix that will make your "body move". This is DIFFERENT PLACES EP by Tupiar Records.

Smoothly evolving, 'Sinking' drifts through dark elements speckled in sunshine, with a solid groove that keeps you encapsulated with an unknowing end. Somersault's rich background in musical theory is clear within his slick progressive style of tech-house. Though fairly new to the electronic music scene, the now Sydney based producer/dj has released with labels Particles / Proton and Build It Records, his latest EP peaking the 70's of the the Deep House Beatport charts. Now a part of the Bassic Records family prepare to be flustered by much more Somersault, you can catch him playing at the upcoming Bassic Showcase at S*A*S*H and for his second year at Rabbits Eat Lettuce festival over Easter Long Weekend near Byron Bay.
