For the 30th (!) edition no other than icon softchaos is contributing a mix <3 

"This set is a blend of straightforward techno that leads with groove, gets a little glitchy + hypnotic with jacking tracks for the swing. It's sensual on purpose, and as per usual, it's very much percussive. There's even an electro moment if you listen for it. 

More specifically, it's a select blend of punchy early 90's sound, some more contemporary 909-heavy tracks I've been sitting on, and a few leftfield tracks for good measure. It lends itself to permission to ride the rhythm and deeper listening if you're into that. No fast cuts, just sustained heat for wherever you like that sort of vibe."

Born in 1993 and based in Istanbul, Turkey, I’ve been drawn to rhythm and sound for as long as I can remember. My journey began in high school when I introduced myself as a drummer and joined a rock band, opening the door to collaborations with talented musicians and performances at unconventional festivals and venues.

Over time, my passion expanded beyond drumming into recording, mixing, and music production. Exploring synthesizers and sound design allowed me to express myself in new ways, shaping my creative identity.

Now, I’m focused on crafting a unique sonic world—blending rhythm, texture, and emotion to tell my story. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to share what’s next. Stay tuned!

softchaos is an artist traversing the intersections of popular music and performance art. 

Both thoughtful and commanding, softchaos’ sets are watermarked by their meticulous pairing of groove-driven music along with aggressive percussive tracks in unison with far-reaching electronic sound.

Harnessing their punk ethos, and referencing classic landscapes of New York City and Detroit, their selection of techno, breaks, and rebellious sounds offer a transcontinental call and response and an offering to dancefloors everywhere. 

Embracing this practice, their sound embodies reverence to techno while staying locked into the new turn in electronic music, blending with finesse. 

They hold a residency on Oroko Radio, and host Black Rhizome, a show that platforms multidisciplinary artists across diaspora.
