A Musician, Composer, Curator, Promoter, and Electronic Music Culture Enthusiast. Born, raised, and shaped by the surroundings and local traditions of North West London. BKS grew up in a very musical household. Owing a lot of his musical ability and early influences to his Father who is a talented Jazz and Rock guitarist. Having access to an eclectic record collection from an early age, really created an escape into what seemed like a parallel universe at the time. Growing up in 90s London, the Dance Music scene was at its peak. It has been described similarly to a religious movement. Radio 1’s Essential Mix was the Holy Grail and dark sweaty nightclubs were likened to Churches. BKS had found his tribe, in a time where music truly brought the world together.
BKS's versatility has allowed him to play for some of the world's most respected institutions.

Now based in Melbourne, BKS presents the weekly Techno radio show, VISCERAL RADIO on Kiss FM. A platform where he works with and showcases some of the best talent in the business, both locally and internationally.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

As we move further into the digital age, we believe that the future of clubbing is a 50/50 balance of real life and online. With this in mind, we have begun moving Tilt Shift in this direction.

We aim to create a platform that shines a light on Melbourne Locals and international talent. Build an online community while simultaneously putting people in the room as we broadcast.

Tilt Shift has been operating in Melbourne since 2017 facilitating events at a variety of the city's most reputable late-night haunts like Revolver, Boney, Section 8 & New Guernica. In this time we have hosted & toured artists such as: Marvin & Guy, Curses, The Hacker, Tronic Youth & Timothy Clerkin


Tilt Shift endeavour to promote an environment that feels safe and welcoming, somewhere which you don’t have to wrestle with the struggles of the day. No racism, sexism, homophobia or any discriminatory attitudes will be tolerated. We also care that the music is good and genres are blurred. Put away your phone and dance with us.
