With a constantly growing collection of warm, spacey, and stompy selections, Ham aka Sam is driven by extra-terrestrial explorations and the embrace of elements of earth, nature, and space. A tech writer by day, Ham brings her trade of celebrating off-map journeys, storytelling, life, and play throughout her curations seeking a balance of grounded, percussive, and delicate tracks.

Ham’s tunas have featured on LA’s Dub Lab, Sky Lab, Smoker’s Lounge, For Home Use Only, Novel, UNTITLED, Orbital Radio, Dance Flaws, Revolver, and Area3000 Radio. She can be found digging for stories on a rare occasion for Beat Magazine and ran the mix series @beatsbybeat with previous yarns reported for VICE, PTV, Thump (rip), Noisey, Stoney Roads, and Headthreads Magazine.

Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

Mit seinem unverwechselbaren Sound aus Deep/Tech-House mit technoieden Einflüssen, die frech daherkommen, hinterlässt er bei jedem Rave einen bleibenden Eindruck. Aber nicht nur in der Booth weiss er zu gefallen, mit Releases auf Claps Records, Alula, Get Twisted und Fish & Chicks hat sich „Bagalut“ nun auch einen Namen in der Riege der Produzenten erarbeitet. Sein Colab Track mit the Coast (ex Kuestenklatsch)„Where’s my Snare“ schaffte es bis in die Top20 diverser Charts. Man findet den Amigo aus St. Pauli regelmäßig hinter den Spielern im Waagenbau, dort hat er seine Residenz.

In this time we have hosted & toured artists such as: Marvin & Guy, Curses, The Hacker, Tronic Youth & Timothy Clerkin


Tilt Shift endeavour to promote an environment that feels safe and welcoming, somewhere which you don’t have to wrestle with the struggles of the day.
