The deep rich sounds of Trésoul the Artist are a vocal culmination of some of the most soulful crooners of our generation. As a native southeast Washingtonian, Tim “TreSoul” Brooks was influenced by a variety of entertainers that truly define his art form. While often compared to Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, KEM, and Jeffery Osborne, TreSoul also has hip hop and neo soul roots that complete this three dimensional artist. He is a living testimony that real music is alive, well and thriving in his soul.
At the age of 5, Tré began his musical journey singing baritone/tenor lead in three choirs at Springfield Baptist Church in DC. Soaking up the game up at very young age, he studied piano, trombone and successfully completed a recording engineering degree at Omega Studios in Rockville MD. While his talents are extremely vast, he’s primarily known for his melodious vocal stylings, national anthem renderings and musical arrangement techniques.
In the mid-early 90’s, Tré also completed a radio internship at the American Radio Institute and went on to host a radio show for Bowie University in 1995. By 2001, TréSoul had begun his professional career as band lead and toured/performed in places such as Hawaii, St Barths, Nashville, Miami, London, LA. Popular clients he’s performed for include Magic Johnson, Bill Gates, John Foggerty, Vernon Jordon, Deynce Graves, Allen Greenspan, Diane Sawyer just to name a few. Popular venues include Wolftrap, Bethesda Blues and Jazz, The Hamilton Live, RamsHead Live and a massive list of resorts and private destinations.
Tré’s breakout moment came in 2004 where he co-wrote and arranged a sensuous ballad for legendary Baltimore jazz duo Greg & Gary Grainger’s album “Phase II” called “Always Love”. The album received moderate rotation on 96.3 WHUR and Magic 102.3 for 16 weeks straight and featured a powerhouse list of the industries most notable musicians. Tré has shared album collaborations/stages with Grammy nominated accomplished entertainers such as Maysa, Wayne Bruce, Skip Pruitt. Jean Carn, Deborah Bond, Nathan Heathman (RIP), Kim Waters, Benjie Porecki, Bell Biv Divoe, Norman Connors, Keith Sweat, Vivian Green, Dan Reynolds, Marshal Keys, Alfredo Mojica, Moe Daniels, Stanley Cooper, Kevin Powe, Kevin Sims, Elliot Levine, Shirleta Settles and many, many more.
