I had a lovely bio here ready to go but my computer crashed & I really don't have the mental strength to go through that again so here's a basic thing instead.
This is my third Soundcloud page which will be made up of music I've made from February 2025 onwards (unless specified otherwise)
I remain loyal to my 4 track Tascam tape porta studio as it remains loyal to me.  New music to come soon!

The bulk of the tracks on this page utilize a 4-track analog tape Tascam  Porta 02 mini Portastudio.


The songs credited to Julian Mark Brown span varying time periods. 

I may on occasion post music collaborations from the dark & distant past here too.   

There could well be some parody & pastiche projects along the way as well!

Some of things you hear here are eventually recorded externally (using a mobile phone mic) to Soundcloud after initially being recorded on very basic home recording machines which would probably now be regarded as 'vintage' classification!  However after January 2020 I was able to transfer music directly & internally (by cable) from my Tascam Porta2 studio straight to my phone & in 2021 I was 'forced' to upgrade & invest in a UCB Audio Capture device in order to move music from Tascam to Laptop & then to SoundCloud!  So no need for 'Hush!' on recording any more!  What developments! 
I wouldn't say this has revolutionised my methods of recording but comparatively speaking it has improved the sound quality for sure.  I'm nearly in the 20th Century now!
