With their roots embedded in the drum 'n bass world up until now, UK label Forest Biz tries out some 140(ish) material for their latest release, by welcoming BitLoud to the imprint with the aptly named 'Strange Objects' EP. Developing his multifaceted sounds out of Burnley, BitLoud unveils three of his unique productions plus a brain-busting Sleepy remix. However we're at home for today's premiere with the super tripped out 140 cut, 'Unfinished Prosecco'.

For us, VISION has always been about pushing the envelope, both musically and artistically. For ‘Chronos’ we wanted to write something with this ethos whilst focusing on space in the music, and also exploring themes of modern sci-fi. VISION has been massively influential on us since its inception, so it’s been an honour to work with them on this release.

'Enjoy Yourself' starts off with a dark pluck surrounded by mysterious atmospherics, alongside a light hi-hat rhythm which teases the main groove of the song. The drop is welcomed by a Rasta vocal which has been sculpted into the mix through the use of reverb and delay, gently building tension to augment the impact of the main hook. This filtered vocal is carried through into the drop, sitting in the background beneath a dark, heavy sub which weaves between the same dark stabs and plucks from the intro, as well as a sizzly, distorted bass which makes an appearance throughout the 2nd half of the drop.

We present you with a synthetic dystopian world; where the illusion of a perfect society is being maintained by corporate, technological and moral chains. The hypocrisy is at an all time high.
Through instruments of subliminal enslavement, those in power have unleashed their wrath, their insatiable hunger for control, pleasure and comfort; into the unsuspecting crowd.
Using their broadest and most effective weapon, the media, they forged opinions and learned to keep a close eye on the so called citizen, compressing and normalising all that is will. Even creating a greater intelligence to help them - an all-knowing sentient machine that would evolve to edit the very fabric of reality!

The end of the story tends to destruction, annihilation and despair.
As the ones are leading towards death, the others (unaware that they are already dead) are waiting for the next catastrophe, gnawed by disbelief and their inexorable ignorance of what is to come.

Quotes are but a mere representation of the object they enclose, which is to say, the repetition, the world as being perceived. But something cuts through, a wave of light, from elsewhere beyond the quotes.
