Filled with heavy grooves and flavoured by bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam and Tool, Circle Neptune is a group of friends bound together by a the love of writing original music. Currently living, writing and star gazing on the eastern side of Melbourne Victoria, Circle Neptune has biological ties to Brisvegas, Traralgon, and Greece. 

The story so far….

This nucleus of humanoid matter finally came together in early 2015 and played its first show on Feb 21st in Melbourne followed by another in March at Melbourne’s premier music venue, The Espy. 

What’s next?  We are not sure about the finer points, but along the way there is sure to be some sort of asteroid hitting the earth, followed by a meteor shower then finished with an angry man who rules the sea, poking you in the ears with his trident- The above will all be disguised by a band who will be playing venues around Oz and releasing music to help you get through this world and into the next. 

A Bit about us;

Rod – Guitar 
Likes- Rainforests, birdwatching, frowning at computer screens and mowing down audiences with his guitar 

Jimi – Guitar
Likes- female guitars, whips, leashes, leather and pulling scary faces at people in the crowd 

Tim – Vocals 
Likes – Rod when he’s asleep, squatching, mountain biking (for squatch), writing music and hot dogs.

In 2012, Breaking Orbit completed work on their long awaited debut album 'The Time Traveller' (Firestarter Distribution), produced by band member Dylan Mitrovich and mastered by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus).

The album is an hour-long epic, flowing through dynamic passages and presenting a constantly changing scenery. The albums concept revolves around the evolution of man through past, present and future time, touching on themes from ancient mythology. It's music also reflects the theme, mixing modern styles and electronic sounds with progressive roots and tribal sensibilities - including the 'Quena' - a traditional bamboo flute of the Andes. This is translated visually utilising an intricate three dimensional artwork encasing the entire album.

Received well by media prior to release, LifeMusicMedia said "The Time Traveller will demand your attention and toy with your emotions, a clear contender for album of the year and one of the best Australian debuts in recent memory".

Sputnik Music said "Breaking Orbit have managed to successfully tell one hell of a story and take listeners on an amazing atmospheric ride with this, their debut album. It’s hard to label one word to accurately sum up the feeling of emotion, power, captivation and atmosphere that this album allows you to experience."

Breaking Orbit have emerged in 2015 with their second studio album Transcension, to be
released on 29th May.

This next installment from the Sydney based four-piece follows on from their critically acclaimed
debut album The Time Traveller, regarded as "...one of the most impressive debuts from an

Transcension expands on the concept and knowledge of The Time Traveller, sharing the same
technicality, tied together with powerful melody and movement, lyrically reinforcing a positive
message of inner strength and unity.

Recorded at The Grove Studios outside of Sydney, the band re-engaged with producer Dylan
Mitrovich to bring this next musical chapter to life.

The first single Become The Light took to the airwaves on Triple J, Haug Radio, and a host of
digital and community stations. The single debuted along with other new material from the
forthcoming record whilst touring nationally with post rock legends Sleepmakeswaves.

The band will be releasing a limited pressing of individually numbered albums available

Transcension features the inspiring visual artistry of Cameron Gray (www.parablevisions.com)
who had the almighty task of illustrating the band’s musical expression.

The band's sophomore record is a testament to the ever growing national and international fan
