I'm not actually sure when I am allowed to announce the gig I'm most excited about! All I can say it's arguably one of the best clubs in London and on my favourite weekend in London, August bank holiday...

Sonny is my son (or dog if we’re being technical) he’s a silly staffy or pitbull as you lot in America call them.  He’s my number 1 fan but genuinely doesn’t care where I am if there are men about (I can relate) - just like me, he loves cheese and David Attenborough,the pub (wine not beer) and a sausage at the cafe.

Making a name for himself in recent months by being part of a mind-melting B4B with Sully, Tim Repaer, and Coco Bryce, which has toured up and down the UK and abroad, he has now become a resident on the newly revived Kool FM, with forthcoming music on Deep Jungle, Future Retro, Creative Wax and Remix Records. He's currently on tour in the US but our London followers can catch him playing at Venue MOT at the end of the month for Distant Planet.

A conversation with the prolific and ever enthusiastic Tim Reaper.

He’s known for his immense work ethic both as an artist and as label owner for @futureretrolondon and has regular shows on @nts_radio and Jungletrain.

I’ve been wanting to speak to him for some time for many reasons but mainly because he makes incredibly authentic Jungle but comes from a time after the Pirate Radio era. We speak about his understanding of Pirate Radio and the impact it’s had on the music. We discuss the concept of nostalgia and the use of nostalgia when making Jungle music. We also discuss his love for the DIY ethos - it runs through everything he does, including making music on a laptop on the train with Ear Buds, to the way he runs his record label Future Retro London. it’s very grass roots and he uses it both as a platform for showcasing the best in modern Jungle but also to give younger and up and coming producers a place for early releases in their career. He’s very community minded and very DIY minded and authenticity runs through everything he does.

0860 is an album, mixtape, radio station and interview series that explores the history and legacy of Pirate Radio and its importance in the development of UK underground music.
