I am a finger-style guitarist living on the Texas high plains.  At the core of my music is melody that is inspired and informed by my Christian faith, family, friends, and countless influences through the years from the great composers, to jazz, folk, rock, Latin, Celtic, and the many fine musicians I have come to love on the Cloud, some I have been privileged to collaborate with. I make music because it is where I let go of the have-to’s, and become part of something larger than myself. The language I speak on the keyboard when I improvise expresses a part of me that only comes out there at the moment of creation - when I’m fully connected and in the flow. In those moments when I disappear in the music, those are where I’m most fully alive. The musical question I pose to myself when I play is largely this: how can I release my inhibitions and let go of patterns sufficient to bring something entirely new, unexpected, and enlightening into the world, with structure, precision, clarity, and depth of expression. These pieces are meditations that are of me, but more precisely, they come through me. When I’m in the flow, I’m channeling the energy and only moderately directing it. The challenge is to be open to take risks while maintaining a structure, melody, and tempo that makes it interesting and satisfying enough to keep listening. I keep doing this nightly because it’s a language, because it’s a connection to something greater than myself, and because it’s very very relaxing.

Welcome to my SoundCloud page.  It serves as a jar of sorts, to catch the musical ideas flying around in my head!  My hope is that you find something to listen to that offers encouragement and refreshes your soul.

All music is original with a few exceptions (such as new arrangements of old Christmas songs, etc.).  All music has been composed and performed with absolutely no AI-assistance.  I primarily perform and record on the Yamaha MODX8, with an occasional recording on my older Yamaha Clavinova.  You will also find collaborative works on my page, featuring some other amazing musicians on SoundCloud.

If AI generated crap-music accumulates on this and other digital music platforms listeners and *especially* musicians should ask themselves if online music production is worth their effort and if they might be better appreciated by focusing exclusively on live events and forget about the machine-infested online experience. As a young boy, I learned to play the piano with my grandmother, who was a concert pianist. Thanks to her patience, I was brought closer to music. It was a hard but worthwhile way.

After I ended my school training and started my vocational training, the music got into the background. However, the music has accompanied me throughout my life. With increasing age, the music again got a greater status in my life.

First with the old piano of my grandmother, who had long since died and then with a keyboard, I started making music again.

I don't have a studied musical background and make music as a hobby without really had learned about orchestration. I find myself slowly into the topic and I am happy to have found some listeners.

Inspired by many lovely people, who also make music, I develop myself even at older age and look forward to further listeners.

Therefore, have fun hearing my modest works and thank you for the nice comments.
