LVP is a piano-playing musician from the Brussels area.
Although he is steeped IN and has a big heart FOR jazz, the latest years saw him experimenting with some different projects, grooving in the grey zone between soul, pop, jazz, experimental music...

Now LVP has returned to the fold with a brand new quartet formation ! This band is currently playing as many gigs as possible, with artistic/musical direction starting to take on more and more shape...

Nathan Wouters (°1989) was born into a musical family. After starting out on violin, he switched to the double bass at the age of eleven,  attending classical bass lessons at the Academy for Music, Drama and Dance in Merksem under the guidance of Lode Leire. As well as being active in the Orchestra of Jeunesses Musicales Antwerp directed by Ivo Venkov, he also started to develop an interest in other musical genres.  In 2004, he won the 1st price in the “Music Live competition” organized by Jeunesses Musicales Flanders with fellow improvisers Seppe Gebruers and Jakob Warmenbol. This trio proved to be a valuable learning school in the field of improvised music for them.

Although interested in both classical and improvised music, Nathan started his education at the jazz department of the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with Piet Verbist and Nicolas Thys, never losing track of his classical studies. 
In 2009 he received the 'Oranjebeurs’ granted by The Dutch Community Antwerp.
After an inspiring meeting with Swedish bass player and pedagogue Anders Jormin, Nathan got the chance to study his last year with him at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden).

Active in a variety of bands, Nathan participated in projects such as: Machtelinckx/Badenhorst/Jensson/Wouters, Book Of Air VVOLK, Book of Air Fieldtone, MikMäâk, Sgt. Fuzzy, Wout Gooris Trio, Chasing Penguins, Teun Verbruggen Quartet, etc…

His personal development as an instrumentalist and composer is displayed in the collaborative project [ˈkɑːmos] with Finnish Soprano Aino Peltomaa, as well as in his solo appearances and solo recordings. These settings create an ideal environment for him to explore and work with live effect processing, which has been part of his musical vocabulary since his teens.

As a in demand sideman, Nathan had the chance to work with musicians such as: Mark Turner, Dave Douglas, Hilmar Jensson, Aki Takase, Rudi Mahall, Kris Davis, Marc Ducret, Hayden Chisholm, Alexi Tuomarila, John Ruocco, Kurt Van Herck, Dré Pallemaerts, Benoît Delbecq, Bert Joris, Erwin Vann, Ben Sluijs, Jeroen Van Herzeele, Guillaume Orti, Bo Van der Werf, Joachim Badenhorst, Haakon Aase, Nicola Andrioli, Erik Vermeulen, Jozef Dumoulin, Teun Verbruggen, Giovanni Barcella, Marek Patrman, Erik Thielemans, Toma Gouband,  William Hooker, … 
Besides performing at the main Belgian stages he also performed in China, Chili, Mexico, Japan, Croatia, Finland, Ukraine, Sweden, United Kingdom, Finland, Germany, France, Portugal, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Italy.

Since 2016 Nathan is associated as a teacher at the jazz departement of the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.

Born in Burgas, Bulgaria, Yavi started performing at the age of five as a soloist in the Milka Stoeva Children’s Choir and at the age of seven recorded for the Bulgarian vinyl record company Balkanton within the children song contest Sladkopoina Chuchuliga hosted by the composer and producer Viktor Chuchkov. Yavi’s first music interview was at the age of six on the Hristo Botev Bulgarian state radio, where he appeared in an interview again in 2016, hosted by the music therapist and teacher Daniela Naydenova.
At the age of eight he started taking lessons in classic guitar, later on to become the lead guitarist of the local rock band “Pearl”. 
In the English Language School of Burgas, Yavi was invited to play the role of Jesus Christ in the Jesus Christ Superstar Rock Opera, then being 15 years old. Also in high school Yavi became working with his schoolmate Konstantin Bonchev, with whom he formed duo Jailhouse Chili, performing to date in Belgium, Holland and Germany. In 2005 Jailhouse Chili’s single ‘All You Couldn’t Be’ was on air on the Belgian radio Studio Brussels.
Fascinated by the uprising R’n’B and soul trends in Bulgaria and under the fascinating influence of Boyz II Men, at the age of 16, Yavi founded the acapella quartet “Jazzabell” in 1998. Jazzabell rapidly attracted the attention of local musicians, including that of the composer Stefan Diomov. Later the quartet moved seat to capital Sofia, where Yavi pursued his law degree in law. Meanwhile the quartet signed with Bulgarian Music Company – BMK. While at BMK Jazzabell recorded back vocals for main Bulgarian singers such as Grafa, Lili Ivanova, B.T.R, Slavi Trifonov, etc. 
Jazzabell won the special viewers’ prize of the Golden Orpheus Festival in 2000 with a song written by professor Julia Tsenova and performed at the 1999 Sofia Jazz Fest, sharing a stage with John Patitucci. The same year Jazzabell toured for Coca Cola with Stoyan MIhalev and Antibiotika.
In 1999 Yavi became a founding member of the funk-soul band Badu, later renamed Kaffe and left the band next year to be replaced by singer Maria Ilieva. Yavi came back to Kaffe in 2001 and wrote the single Vmesto Men (Instead of Me), which later the band released as a major hit with their subsequent singer Orlin Pavlov, with whom Kaffe represented Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005. Having graduated from Law University in 2002, Yavi left Kaffe and Bulgaria to enrol in a programme for International and European Legal Studies in the University of Antwerp, Belgium, where he resides to date. 
In Belgium Yavi obtained his second Master in Transport and Maritime Management and worked as a legal counsel till 2015 for the largest Belgian shipping company CMB/EXMAR. During that period Yavi formed the band Yavor & The Sonic Punch, with which he played at the EUROPAFest in Romania, Gentse Feesten in Belgium, etc. 
Yavi participated in the Voice of Flanders in 2014, but due to the format’s unappealing contract conditions, he pulled out from it, focusing on his bands and solo career.
Later in the same year, two of Yavi’s songs, Mars to Venus and Mama’s Smokin’ were included in the soundtrack of the TV series De Ridder, produced by Belgian Eén TV. 
Also in 2014 Yavi and Mey (featured on Poogie Bell’s album Suga Top) released the duet Illuminate, produced by Austin multi-instrumentalist Erik Rico. 
In 2016 Yavi becomes featured artist of the fashion line In Music We Trust, which devotes 50% of all profits to the Depression Alliance charity.
