Having just recently released his new album, 'The Sum of Scenes', Melbourne artist Simon Imrei has rediscovered the introspective, blues/folk style that he began his original music career with. It's a genre that inspired 'Part 2 (The Shade)' on the album and its collection of stripped back, pedal steel and harmony-laden storytelling. 'Photograph' is an older track of Simon's - the title track off his 2nd acoustic EP released in 2007 - and is now finding its way back into setlists and onto stages in amongst the new music. The Queen Of The Shadows - Grace De Las Nieves (TMB)

Guitarist and composer, Julian Scheffer grew up in a circle of young musicians that were looking for a new sound, something outside of their comfort zone. They immersed themselves in the vibrant cultural music of Melbourne and borrowed, arranged and composed music influenced by Southern European, West African and Latin American sounds. His new group, Faro Negro, is an explosive mix of jazz and world music. Imagine lyrical violin supported by rhythmic guitars, vocal textures and the passion of the bandoneon. New Australian music! Ritmo Adorado - Faro Negro (TMB)

Timber music box is a audio/visual production company capturing the documentation of the Australian musical landscape in the city of Melbourne. 

We focus on capturing the live performance of small ensembles and solo artists in our studio located in Preston. 

The crew at TMB have been connected with the Melbourne underground music scene for a while now. The drive to start documenting this big movement grew upon us. We started shooting some gigs for friends, and realised that high end AV material was needed specially for the bands, as they require content to promote themselves online. We then built a stage and started recording bands, rendering back high quality material at an affordable cost.

We made the stage with recycled wood pallets that were used to transport sugar from a remote land to Australia. These pallets are ready to fill with sweet new music and export it to the rest of the world. This stage was setup to be an open but cozy space, decorated with all the ideas that may arise. We have set it up as an empty stage with a dark vibe, full of people and colours, with casual homely decor… but anything is possible!

What you get is a full HD video in the next fortnight (T&C apply) 
We'll make it look extra cool and sound tasty! It will then be featured the TMB video library across our online media presence on Youtube, Instagram and Facebook channels. You may use this new video content for your band or project as you wish. 

All you need to do is smash out your best tune and we will keep the best take! TMB aims to preserve the soul of a live music performance, therefore we choose to limit our edits in post production.
