Love the melody/ chord changes!  Well done!

This cool cat named "Marlow" comes into town from Mexico City, said he was originally from LA, and plays piano like I have never heard anyone play before.  I did a few gigs with this dude before he left town, never to be seen again. I was 24, playing the drums on this track which I recorded at the gig on my Sony reel-to-reel with two mikes on either side of the club stage.  This is an excerpt of one of Marlow's wild blues solos - like Thelonious Monk on warp drive!.  Other musicians backing Marlow on this track - Tom Winstead, bass, John Huber, guitar, Bobby McDonald sax, and a younger me (SENJEN) on the drum kit.  This brief excerpt is presented solely to feature Marlow's very unusual blues/jazz piano chops!

"MARLOW B. WOLFF Former Redlands Jazz pianist and instructor Marlow B. Wolff, a former resident of Redlands, died after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer, on January 31, 2002, at his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was born July 1, 1937, in Glendale, California, the only child of Arthur C. and Faye Wolff. He spent his formative years in Southern California, attended Redlands High School during the 1950's, and also was active in local amateur radio organizations. He spent his entire professional career as a highly respected jazz pianist and instructor in venues throughout the United States and Mexico, especially in San Miguel de Allende and Mexico City, where he taught at the Conservatory of Music there. He was the author of Como Tocar "Jazz" en Piano, a popular instruction system in Spanish which outlined his own innovative approach to jazz chord progressions. Wolff's autobiography, an updated English version of his instruction system, and a CD of his performances are scheduled for publication."
