Music came back into my life only a few years ago. I was inspired when I found I had more time to listen, and I reconnected with just how impactful music can be.  

Shortly after moving to Vancouver Island, I decided to learn to arrange and mix tracks on my computer, which allowed me to record, edit, and produce songs. In the past, I had dabbled in music. I knew I was an ok singer...I could play guitar a little by ear, and harmonize… but it was quite a surprising gift to learn that, using technology, I could record instruments and vocals, and use other digital tools to create music. I also enjoy lyric-writing a lot!... and then experimenting with how to sing those phrases accompanied by the tracks I laid is such a fulfilling creative process.  

Social networking has allowed me to work with many other musicians from around the planet, and I am forever thankful to the people who have joined me on this musical journey.  This debut album is a partial compilation of my early ventures into this wonderful world of music making.  
Though my song writing crosses into many genres, including R&B, Jazz, Pop, Hip Hop, EDM, House, Latin, Folk and fusions of these, my debut album, which drops on July 10, 2020, focuses on the softer side of my writing – Folk, Country, and Pop.  My music is available to stream or download on Spotify, iTunes & Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube & YouTube Music, Google Play, and others.

The Young Flood are a London based Indie/ Alt-Rock band featuring Victory Kicks singer-songwriter and guitarist John Sibley, his sister Harriet Sibley on drums, indie-folk singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Sam Beard, and bassist Sam Harvey. The band was originally formed by John and Harriet as a lo-fi DIY recording project and live duo before expanding into a four-piece around the recording and release of their debut album Sea to Sky, Sky to Sea, released on the London based indie label Unmanned Aerial Vinyl in 2018. Since then The Young Flood has grown as a live outfit and can regularly be found playing driving and atmospheric guitar music at venues around London. Since the lifting of lockdown restrictions in the UK the band has been working collaboratively on a new batch of songs. The first of these, Jefferson’s Party, will be released on October 1st on UAV Records.

Our imagination and fantasies always exceed reality. So the best love affair is the one you've never had. It seems to be our human dilemma that we're constantly chasing dreams which will forever remain unfulfilled. But music can give these notions a form and make them come alive. As a singer & songwriter I am attempting to capture these moments. Currently I'm based in Shanghai, China, where I've been involved in several RocknRoll-projects.
