“Mondo Nuovo” is a trilogy concept by Venetian born artist Simone de Kunovich. 

It is the story of an exploration into an imaginary remote area of our planet, an exotic place where Nature is still uncontaminated, answering only to its own logic. 

Following the first chapter on Superconscious Records, Simone de Kunovich takes us on a journey amongst peaceful native tribes (“Cerchio Magico”), obscure esoteric rituals (“Serpiente Cosmica”), psychedelic delusions (“Paradiso delle Sabbie Mobili”) and breathtaking discoveries (“As I Was Moving Ahead..”) 

Once again the project has been inspired by his Cinema studies, which were focused mainly on 70s World movies by the likes of Herzog and Jodorowski - “Mondo Nuovo” is an intricate and rich opera of sampling and layering, capable of connecting bits from obscure Italian libraries, vocal shots by the G-Man of “Half Life” and monologues from Louis Malle’s 1981 cult movie “My Dinner With Andre”.

For its third release Melbourne's Inner Sauce Recordins welcomes On-Ly to the carefully curated roster for his own full release after he appeared on the Inner Sauce Compilation volume 1 compiled by Horatio Luna.
On-Ly is the metastasising outfit of pianist, producer, and composer Joshua Smeltink. On-Ly is about hard-hitting groove music that crosses nu-jazz, psychedelic, house, spiritual-funk and hip-hop fused with long-form composition and wild improvisations. It’s a balance between the sound of Melbourne’s eclectic underground scene and those of Deodato, Azymuth, Joe Zawinul/Weather Report and Miles Davis (70s) Band, showcased beautifully on the ‘Anthochaera EP’.

Timothy Crombie delivers his sophomore EP named “A Maze Dream EP”. The title track immediately mesmerizes with its abundantly organic beauty. There is a direction from this relatively new artist that is unique and special. Japan's Sapphire Slows remix follows it up and brings the beat more to the forefront in a trippy journey that defies laws of gravity. Tribal is an understatement for this EP. More of being immersed in a kind of primitive sunken garden. “Forest Floor” starts off the second side with an alien language all its own while “The Skaters” absorbs you in a primordial rainforest groove. The sounds throughout this EP are natural, innate and anatomical. This is an essential release to have that blurs the lines between land, sea and space.
