Timeless Moment is proud to present brand new remixes for Morttagua’s classic  “the 8th Sense” from renowned American progressive master Darin Epsilon and German rising star Modeplex. 

Morttagua released “The 8th Sense “previously in 2018, alongside the lone remix from legendary Robert Babicz. The original is also re-released on this package with a brand new mixdown work from Morttagua re-mastered by SM Mastering.   

Darin Epsilon takes the ‘trancier’ original into a more melodic techno journey, using a fat moog style bassline to set the mood while incorporating a complex and groovy percussion work.  Darin’s remix is a true piece of art, keeping almost intact the main melodies from “The 8th Sense” but at the same time giving a fresher feel to its timeless harmony.  

Modeplex remake of “The 8th Sense” takes a complete 180 degree turn from the original, using some melodic elements of the track but changing completely the atmosphere mood.  The German turned 8”Th Sense” into a dark hypnotic dance floor techno bomb, with a powerful bassline and brand new melodic synth riffs, simply timeless!

Morttagua - The 8th Sense (Ten SM Remaster) [Timeless Moment]

With 'Hi Low' we welcome back New York's finest Allies for Everyone to ICONYC. Allies, who doesn't need any introduction, treats us with a brand-new track that oozes class and sophistication. 'Hi Low' features rich driving textures; as well as euphoric and moody deep house vibes to satisfy ambient, uplifting and feel-good needs, which are the keywords for this beautiful and extraordinary release.

Allies for Everyone opens proceedings with his smashing original mix. Allies' maturity and musical development is in full swing, as he kicks off with a deep, hypnotic beat which is interspersed with subtle effective percussion a profound floaty grooves and indie influences, turning this one into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. The hypnotizing groove combined with Allies' smooth vocal work gradually ease their way to the breakdown before all elements combine to be unleashed into a rising melodic hook, intertwined with the infectious groove that fades in and out for maximum effect.

German sound maestro Mollono.Bass' interpretation opens proceedings on the remix front; he hits all the right chords from the word go. Known for his distinct and quality driven production style, the German's deep entry is intermixing with glowing drive, filtered stabs and stunning groove which beautifully leads into a drop full of tension and excitement, with the understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along. He manages to keep the energy up, allowing the driving melodic house feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape to round off this classy underground crowd pleaser. Essential stuff!

Returning for another outing are our favorite Dutch duo Mononoid. Their sound is a tough thing to pin down. They are such a unique act in the sense that their emotional creations carry quite a large scope. They are not afraid to explore esoteric or introspective themes and the end result is always a compelling one. Such is the case with their remix of 'Hi Low', which carries many of their most loved production hallmarks. From a warm, meaty low end to icy atmospherics and an effects storyboard to get lost in, there is certainly a lot to love. The main break being the high point, with the mood shifting from emotive to ominous with an effortless ease. It's something you rarely see and they once again pulled it off beautifully here.

Allies for Everyone's return to ICONYC, with the amazing support from Mollono.Bass and Mononoid, is a triumphant one. 'Hi Low' manages to deliver a message of sustained musical relevance in emphatic fashion to warm the soul. Chappier is the newest bet of Hiato Music, debuting on the label with “Ravina” EP. His music has been showing consistency and a particular style of building atmospheric nuances, winning looks around the world.

The track that gives the EP its name has a dense groove, showing its power in its first seconds. The off-time arpeggios cause hypnotism until the break, when Chappier uses the beauty of timbres that pass through the stereo until reaching its peak, surprising the listener with constant and unexpected transpositions.

"Resurge" brings a touch of introspection to the EP with a slow and obscure progression. The nuances in the Bassline show the melodic beauty in perfect harmony with atmospheric Plucks, completing all its harmonic construction.

“Celeste” starts with pressure and dark ambiences, as if by magic, the leads start to reverberate in all corners of Spectrum revealing a striking and hypnotic melody. The break brings the beauty of clean tones, preparing for a powerful and emotional drop.

'Bunny Tiger Dubs is back with more brilliance this time from Zac & Bakka.

This red hot pair link up to great effect on Whispers, a tense tech tune with a rolling bassline that is dark and heavy. Bringing light are the twinkling keys up top, the circling pads that bring hope and colour to the groove. Blossom then comes on strong with more slinky drums from a tech house future. The pads are warm, the energy builds and it is easy to see this one getting crowds hypnotised.

Bunny Tiger Dubs never miss and this is another fine example of that.'

The latest release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Jickow to the label for his debut EP. As a highly regarded DJ, Jickow began his journey in the South of France before going on to delight crowds at Kater Holzig (Berlin), Rachdingue (Catalonia) and Jesus Club (Saint Petersburg). Eventually settling in Belgium, Jickow became a primary figure in the country's nightlife, sharing the booth with international talents such as Oxia, Lee Van Dowski, Pleasurekraft, Olivier Huntemann, Anthony Rother and Marc Houle. As a producer, JIckow takes the quality of quantity approach, taking time to perfect his craft and choosing his projects wisely, with Beatfreak, Frequenza and Pursuit being landing spots for his fresh take on melodic house and techno. Now following a project for Deep House Belgium, Jickow steps up to Movement Recordings for his debut EP 'Run and Jump' alongside a remix from Gelassenheit.

Beginning with 'Jumping in the Sand' Jickow delivers one of his best productions to date. Led by a punchy groove, pulsating rhythms and astral stabs, its ethereal nature proves to be quite compelling. Dark and mysterious across the first act, it's flair for the dramatic grows, with an emotive break that elevates mood and tension, before getting washed away in a rush of beats and percussion for a heady finale.

Also making their label debut and providing the lone interpretation of 'Jumping in the Sand' is Gelassenheit. Based in Australia and making up the Gelassenheit duo are Max and Netanel. Founders of the nightlife brand Dopamine Collective, the Aussie duo are not only regulars on the country's club circuit but also lay claim to a short but meticulous discography, highlighted by releases on Interfonic, Love Matters and Soleid. Now making their Movement Recordings debut, Gelassenheit provides an inspired take on 'Jumping in the Sand'. Electrically charged with punchy beats and a looser take on the groove, it's energetic prowess beams brightly from the outset. Combining dynamic rhythms with crisp percussion and emotive chord changes makes for a sleek yet poignant first act. Playful arps and timely modulation heighten the senses leading into the main break. Grandiose and dramatic in equal measure, haunting vocal pads and warm bass swells highlight the centrepiece, paving the way for a broken beat section and smooth energy bridge into a moving finale.

Rounding out the release are 'Running Egg' and 'Sweet Sadness' which find Jickow exploring more astral techno narratives. The former delights with its minimalistic design, rippling groove and cosmic artefacts. Sitting as an ideal complement to its predecessor, a heady first act preludes a dramatic break, where buzzing lines and gaseous effects take centerstage, before a rush of noise ushers in a charged finale. Meanwhile, 'Sweet Sadness' comes in more muscular and robust with an undulating groove, striking arps and a mystical vocal narrative which highlights a cavernous break. It rounds out a superb Movement Recordings debut for Jickow, who is most certainly operating at a creative peak here.

Cameron Christian Samson was born in 1992 in Ceres, a small town outside of Cape Town, South Africa. The South African began producing music at the young age of 11-years-old curious to how electronic music was created. He was influenced by artists such as Benny Benassi, Laidback Luke, Fedde Le Grande and later Micky Slim, Nick Supply, Switch and Stupid Fresh. His father was a sound engineer for most of a 30 year long career in live events and as a young child he spent much time awed by 48 channel mixing desks and how every slider had a unique function. He spent much time producing in many genres such as electro, hip-hop, house, drum and bass, dubstep as well as psy-trance, each production a learning exercise, guiding him closer to a unique sound and style as well as tuning his ear. After 15 years of study and many years spent in almost every DAW that exists, Cameron Christian Samson is now producing a unique flavour of melodic techno, and deep house under the name of 'Rosenna Samson'. Rosenna is his grandmother's second name as a tribute to her memory. He creates every sound in every original production from scratch.  His style can be described as emotive and powerful. He enjoys to create hard, dirty 5am techno as well as deeper melodic grooves. He always enjoys to create a colourful composition and emotive nostalgic feeling.
