Ladies and gentlemen we are proud to present you the long awaited new mini ep from Timewarp inc. A brand new release with two fresh songs under the title 'Dubwarp' is coming out on your digital music world. The release features great collaborations with Timewarp inc’s, favorite and special fellow friends and artists: Al The X-King (Guitar), Georges Perin (Vocals), Gobey (Vocals), RSN (Scratches).

The opening track 'Theory of Revolution’ stands out in the area of dub, reggae, beats and roots and features one of our favorite vocalists, the half French-half Greek Georges Perin, participating with his talented voice, delivering unique soulful-funk vocals. The lyrics were written by his lyric mate Panagiotis Skraparlis. Also featured in the release is a long eight-minute dub version with more music, fewer vocals, dubbed & burned with space echoes to trip out your mind and stack you in the mood.

Second track ‘Liberty is Our Destiny’ brings back the breaks in a dub style with plenty of funk and big bass concept. Here we get the strong vocals and lyrics from another great talent, Gobey, the MC & vocalist from Balkan Riddms and Just Dread. Born in Africa, bred in Greece, this is the man behind the riddim, authentic, real and expressing to the fullest representing one love ideology. Yet another good fellow friend, RSN, appears with his special recorded scratches for the song. An instrumental version is included on the release, as we mind our fans, lovers and collectors, for less vocals music.

Al The X-King is responsible for all the great guitars lines, hooks and melodies on both songs, he is also one of the founders of the well know great Greek band The Burger Project, an extremely talented musician, vocalist and a great guitar player!

After a long time in the waiting line, we are thrilled to present the fourth full length album from Timewarp inc. Yes indeed, this time on wax with a limited 250 copies double 12" black vinyl edition, packaged on a heavy duty gatefold. Yes we are proud to say that this is our third vinyl release to date. Theory of Revolution is a strong album release, bringing 19 freshly produced tracks. A few of them where previous released on singles and ep's and only on the digital domain format though the past years, most of them gained great success & big attention, with many playlists from dj's and radio stations all over the world.

Timewarp inc (aka Angelos Timewarp Stoumpos) managed to provide many new tracks, along the already released ones, while he also managed to remaster them and tried to give a fresh breath to his "old gold" tracks that are still hot and playable out there. 

You can expect a wide range of styles and tempos in this album, from dub and reggae to funk and disco, downtempo to house, and from soul to tropical electronica, all produced and based on wide range and borderless music concept, surrounded by some well cooked mediterranean characteristics. All blended with his unique style of producing, mixing and mastering at his "audiophile analogue studio" in Athens. 

Featuring artists gave their touch on the album songs. Georges Perin contributes on four songs: Theory of Revolution, I'll Be Ok, Realistic (yes, here he also plays the harmonica) and on Tropicaliente with his great talented voice and unbeatable vocals. Jammaroots contributes on Restart and she provides a wonderful and anti-political riddim jam with her great vocal skills. Gobey contributes on Liberty is Our Destiny with his riddim and everything sparkles out the good vibes, while RSN gives a few delicious scratches. The Mage provides his story telling on Economic Boom by bringing his warm trip-hop vocals while Beatride plays the hammond hook. Fanis Karoussos brought his talent over Smoke Miash with his amazing anatolian Santur and his master playing skills. Also we have two remastered versions especially for this vinyl album release. Emma Anagnostou participates on Afrofunk with her etherial soul, funk vocal while George T. provides the warm baseline. Salomi Vasileiadou contributes with her amazing performance vocals on the song Yuil Disco Breaks while Dj Tzinas carries the trumpet hooks. Multi instrumentalist George Mitsikaris performs with his Sitar, Tabla and Bansuri Flute on the track Dubwarp. Timewarp Junior (Morpheus) takes the microphone for the first time and he shoots a few words over Tropicaliente. While the seven times DMC champion Sparky T. bring his turntables and scratching skills over four tracks. Alex Ioannou aka Alex The X-King the most wanted main performers on the album provides his great guitars melodies, hooks and riffs on the most album songs but he also brings out a few base lines and the sweet tropical Yukelele sound. Tasos Fotiou appears on Dub in Disco with his sax section, on Reggae on Dope with his silver flute and again with his sax over Yuil Disco Breaks. Niles Philips lents his huge beats for the new version of Bullshit. Nikos BJ and Fanis P. contributes on tracks Afrofunk and Soulfiction with their guitars.

 Here's a bit more information, for those who are curious.
I am by no means in the habit of explaining what I was trying to say in a piece of music. I generally think the views of an artist on their own work are often, at best, partial or wrong and, at worst, self-serving. It's be better to stick to answering questions if asked(not that for the most part people's interest in my music rises to the level that they do ;). I've started to rethink that position though, in light of my own interest in what the people I listen to are thinking, and in any case I probably owe my collaborator a fuller accounting. I'll start with my own relationship to hip-hop. I'm older than the form. Making it the only major form of music that that is true of. It was also born close, geologically and culturally, to where I'm from but not in my neighborhood so to speak. So to me it's like the kid from down the block, say, four years younger. Growing out of the same environment, ie. soul, funk, jazz, etc., but with a bit of a divide. That being it's original construction out of samples. It was an audio collage art form. This has over time changed of course, although the original form still exerts influence over the way it's played and constructed. I had none of this in my mind when I sent the original tracks to Marquis(Couch King) but when he sent back his first rough draft of his rap; a thought came together in my mind. His speedy delivery set against my languid backing track brought to mind a slightly self conscious dinner guest. A new friend over for the first time. Filling in details of his life, and how he thinks about it, through stories of his past. The first verse addressing his new friends on his background. Small talk if you will. As he gets more intense though he starts to really talk to, in his mind, his father and then an old lover. Not unusual in an interesting, thoughtful conversation, no? I'm taking the role of the host of course. Inviting the younger, but now mature, man from the old neighborhood to my home. It's a dinner party so there are other people there. Chirping in about drinking, smoking, Nietzsche, chasing girls and his date sighing about his story(the samples in order except the bell which I'd rather not explain, you've got to leave something, no?). The music changing as his stories effect the mood in the room. The host though shares nothing. Polite and reasonably warm but sphinx like and a bit haughty. Making interesting ambiguous comments and not explaining them.

Es muy ambiguo tratar de entender o expresar un tema concreto cuando la voz no está cantando o narrando a detalle así que se puede y se vale interpretar las canciones de este ep a como el corazón de cada quien lo sienta; sin embargo muy en el fondo todo el ep hace alusión a Apetlanca, un poblado en una sierra en el estado de Guererro en México.

This is the fifth remix single release from Timewarp inc's fourth studio LP album "Theory of Revolution". And this one is brought to you by the well known and established French freestyle duo project Prosper & Stabfinger. These guys did collaborations with names like: Ashley Slater, Georges Perin, Too Many T's and Everyman and Awoke to name a few. 

Here we present you an exceptional dance-floor monster disco-funk-house remix made to rock on the dance floors, and dedicated to all those groovers that wants some hip hop spice with a soul! 

This remix was made under a unique re-mixing request to blend a concept of two Timewarp inc original tracks. Yuil Disco Breaks is the first one here, that is the main music theme of the remix that holds some soul and funk vocal hooks by Salomi Vasileiadou, while the second featuring song is Economic Boom. From here they just used the main hiphop vocal parts from the original performed by the The Mage. Finally we get a smashing remix that will stay in your crate for along time. An instrumental version of the remix is also included on the release. Both original songs appeared on Timewarp inc's latest double vinyl album.

Timewarp (his family still calls him Angelos Stoumpos) is a fine example of one more artist, in this case a musician, that was first recognised internationally and then he turned his inner eye to the Greek market.

With many of his tracks featured in international Lounge / Freestyle / Downtempo famous compilations such as Black Coffee (Ecco Chamber), Sensuality Lounge and Camapari Red Passion   compilations (Sony Music ),  White Lounge (Music Park) and Ibiza Global Radio Moods (Irma), he wright fully won his participation in many festivals (Spring three in Vienna, where he played with Gilles Paterson & Quantic Soul Orchestra, in Croatia at San Pelegrino Festival with Dimitri from Paris and Smoove & Turell and in Brazil's Tibe Festival) and guest dj sets in great clubs in Europe and around the world (Camera Club & Cafe Leopold in Vienna /Austria, Tageins Club in Freiburg/ Germany, Budapest, Italy, Switzerland, Brazil -Sao Paolo and many more). 

While experimenting with Nu-Funk / Breaks / Nu Disco / Freestyle / Dub sounds and appearing in numerous events in Greece and abroad since mid-90s, he got great reviews and was soon announced as the 'best Greek Nu-Funkster' from famous people of the scene as Graig Charles (BBC), Ralf Droesemeyer (Mo'Horizons), Dublex inc, Deep Dive Corporation (In-D Records), All Good Funk Alliance (Funk Weapons), Fort Knox Five, Dj Aeon Seven (Ninja Tunes), Parov Stelar (Etage Noir), Ancient Astronauts (ESL), Ganga, Fab Samperi, Q-Burns Abstract Message and many more!

In the beginning of 2004 after wanting to present his sound to Greece and the world, he created the independent record label, Timewarp Music. Ever since, Timewarp Music has an impressive release catalog, with over 6 artist cd albums, 3 cd compilations, 1 cd single, 1 vinyl single and almost 170+ Digital releases, while is the home of 100+ music producers and 200+ remixers from all around the world, always in a Nu-Funk / Breaks / Nu Disco / Freestyle / Dub attitude.
Timewarp  has released five personal albums, eight remix albums and many singles and ep's, while a great number of independent productions and remixes have been released worldwide either as maxi-singles or in various cd compilations, digital ep’s and vinyls.

Being a musician for more than 25 years, Timewarp is a Sound and Mastering Engineer for other musicians, while he has also licensed his music for major advertising campaigns. 
The quality and musical style of his productions, also the frequency, diligence and energy that drives him to run Timewarp Music, drew the attention of many Greek radio producers, journalists and promoters so he soon was established in the Greek market. 

In March 2009, he completed his latest project, the creation of one more record label, Kraak Records, that releases electronic music in general, with no specific genre. Already, having five active years, Kraak Records is the home of 80+ music producers and remixers, having released 3 full length artist albums on CD. Of course, following the footsteps of her big sister Timewarp Music, Kraak Records has already released 100+ digital releases.

Angelos Timewarp Stoumpos combines all the characteristics of a modern successful musical personality, with a low profile and a persistence to good music, manages to blend it to the life of a person that lives through what he loves.
