This is a piece for percussion ensemble that I composed in the 1st semester of my Senior year that was performed by musicians from the University of Texas at Arlington in my Senior Composition Recital!
The instrumentation for those it may interest is as follows: 2 Marimbas, 2 Vibraphones, Crotales, Snare drum, Mark Tree, Concert Bass Drum, Concert Toms, Roto-toms, Suspended Cymbal, Anvil, Temple Blocks, Tam-tam, and Vibraslap.

An Enigmatic Journey (Live)

I have been composing on and off since the mid 1980's.  My classical training, education, and performances from an early age were on piano.  Some of my compositions were aired on a PBS radio station in East Lansing, Michigan in the late 1980's.  I then worked for a number of years as a music therapist in mental health.  I now devote my time to composing and am expanding into utilizing other instruments in some of my compositions, although mastering this aspect on the computer is something I am learning to do.  I recently completed the summer 2-week intensive in the Seattle area with Hummie Mann as part of my ongoing learning.

Timothy Gargiulo is a composer, pianist, guitarist, and percussionist with an incredibly expressive musicality. His music comes forth from a forward thinking melodic and textural palette and keen musical instincts for any application or genre. Some of his musical influences include Ichika Nito, Frédéric Chopin, Ney Rosauro, John Williams, Toru Takemitsu, Bernard Herrmann, Alexandre Desplat, and Jacob Collier.
