I was blessed to be a part of the 2021 Grounded Gathering that saw us come together to share food, music and knowledge in a permaculturists dream.  We got down and dirty in the mud grooving out to some beautiful soundscapes.  Enjoy this journey through time and space!

Our next guest is an Australian who's been  relentlessly perfecting his psychedelic sounds - a monstrous concoction of chunky basslines, peppering the melodic emotion that he portrays with glitchy elements, to demonstrate his larger than life mindset.

After years of cutting his teeth on the local live circuit, whilst building an organic following for his blend of progressive meets full on psychedelic realms - he has firmly and well deservedly, established himself on respectable global imprints such as; Zenon; Iboga; Kinematic; Merkaba; Hommega amongst many other notable labels that cater to his powerful and unique productions. 

His touring record is equally as extensive and impressive, playing at celebrated festivals such as Boom; Lost Theory; Universo Parallelo; Freqs of Nature; Psyfari; Earth Frequency; Earthcore and even the mighty Ozora. 

So ladies and gentlemen, here is a producer showcase that is a testament to his unparalleled funky influences. Now without further ado, let me present to you - my friend - Ryanosaurus!

Playing the music you love at the ideal peak time you love to play it is great and easy. Doing a job for a night and putting your own agenda aside is a different thing, and the art of the warm up set Is important for a big night. No point playing bangers to an empty room. To play on such a beautiful stage, at such an epic and important venue in Brisbane, at probably the biggest straight up techno party Brisbane has seen was an honour. It’s not an easy transition taking it from an empty room to handing over to the boss of bush records in an hour. But it was a chance to play some deeper tracks, to be ok with being totally unprepared for a set and feel it out, to run long mixes, close my eyes and feel the moment, and lay the foundation for an epic night. Here it is, my opening set for Pure Brisbane 2022. Enjoy !!

Frieder Nagel continues his new series with “Who Knows”, featuring Daniel Brandt — composer, drummer, and co-founder of the acclaimed trio Brandt Brauer Frick.

A dark, menacing track unfolds under severe rhythmic tension. Constantly building, its long elegiac melodies evolve and dissolve within majestic string arrangements and Nagel’s signature Moog textures. The single comes with two additional versions: a shorter, more condensed radio edit, and a beatless ambient version that highlights the piece’s meticulous sound design.

Synchronometry - Moontribe 25-ear Anniversary

Browski c'est le projet de Pablo aka Ewake et Thibault aka Eindringling, tous les deux membres du collectif Sub.Conscience et fondateurs du label Sub.Conscience records.

En janvier 2019, alors que la covid n'est pas encore présente en France ils décident de se confiner pendant sept jours dans une yourte en pleine nature. Collectant les synthétiseurs, boites à rythmes et bizarreries électroniques en tout genre pour une semaine de création musicale intense, laissant libre cours à l’inspiration et en explorant des contrées acoustiques et psychédéliques nouvelles. 
Il en résultera notamment un morceau orienté Dubtechno, "Dub du Roi", avec ambiance sombre et rétro-futuriste, emmené par une basse puissante dans laquelle vous pourrez retrouver un extrait du fameux dessin animé de Paul Grimault, LE ROI ET L'OISEAU.
En samplant un passage épique de ce chef d'œuvre visionnaire de 1980, Pablo et Thibault nous plongent dans un univers dystopique qui semble faire écho à la réalité de notre époque.
Pour agrémenter ce morceau et développer cet univers dans un premier EP, mais désormais dans l'incapacité de se retrouver du fait du confinement, ils vont débuter un projet pour eux encore inédit: produire un morceau uniquement à distance, grâce à la technologie de partage d’écran et de prise de controle de l’ordinateur via internet. De cette expérience nouvelle nait le morceau « Sleeping City Dub » reflétant l’atmosphère calme mais inquiétante du printemps 2020 à travers une composition évolutive, tel un voyage nocturne au cœur d’une ville endormie..
 Pour conclure cet EP et mettre l’accent sur le morceau éponyme « Dub du Roi », ils invitent Joh aka Lombric à prendre part à l'aventure, il propose un superbe remix deep et groovy avec une composition minimaliste et percutante comme à son habitude.  Ewake & Eindringling produisent aussi chacun leur version du morceau, respectivement un remix aux touches mélancoliques pour Ewake, et une version plus Techno, jouée et arrangée en live avec machines et sampler pour Eindringling.

Ewake and Eindringling are both founder of Sub.Conscience records and members of the Collectif Sub Conscience. They joined forces to create the project Browski. 

In january 2019, while Covid 19 hadn't make its way to France, they decided to lock themselves up for seven days in a mystical land far away from human conections in order to seek new acoustic and psychelic lands. Collecting synthetisers, samplers and drum machines, they let their inspirations overflow during long jam sessions and improvisations. 

You can now enjoy a part of the result from theses days of self-confinement in the track "DUB DU ROI". This dark retro futurist dub techno track led buy a heavy bass showcases a sample from the Paul Grimault's notorious cartoon, "Le Roi et l'Oiseau". The sample from this visionnary masterpiece from 1980 encapsulate a dystopic mood that resonateS with our time. 

With the will to develop this univers into an ep, but facing impossibility to meet in real life, the situation brought them to use new technologies to overcome isolation and produce the second track.
Reflecting the 2020's calm but disturbing spring through its evolving composition "Slleping city Dub" invites you to a journey into the night of a sleeping city.
To finaly enhance this ep with some remixes they invited Joh aka Lombric to be part of the adventure. He delivered deep and punchy remix, in his groovy and minimalistic typical aproach.
Ewake offers a dubby and melancholic version and Eindringling a live Techno interpretation as the crowning touch.

Mastering is done by Arure at Kalvezer Ar Son studio using mostly analog gears for the pleasure of your ears.

03 Browski - Dub du Roi (Lombric Remix)

From the lush, green embrace of the Dandenong Ranges, emerges Timmus, a sonic architect mapping the uncharted territories of sound. His name, a subtle reversal of "summit," hints at a collective climb, a voyage into the heart of vibration. "Music is the air in every breath," he declares, a testament to a life lived in resonant harmony.

As the owner and director of the Australian label Smash Bang Records, Timmus is a prolific artist with a diverse range of sonic explorations. He crafts and performs under various aliases, each a unique facet of his artistic vision: Sacred Summit, Micro Jaxon, Swingtime Paradigm, and Psymus Drummit. He also lends his rhythmic prowess as the hybrid drummer for The Oddness & Band.

These projects, along with his solo work, showcase his ability to seamlessly blend genres and push the boundaries of sonic exploration.
He is a weaver of sound, a collector of auditory fragments, a builder of sonic sanctuaries. From the tender age of four, nestled in the quiet of rural Victoria, he crafted instruments and captured sonic impressions on cassette. By twelve, he was sculpting sonic landscapes with digital tools, foreshadowing his future as a master of auditory alchemy.

Timmus is a prism, refracting sound into a spectrum of artistic expressions. His DJ sets are not mere performances but immersive journeys, blurring the lines between genres, inviting listeners to transcend the ordinary. He is a sonic archaeologist, unearthing the hidden frequencies of the world. Field recordings, tribal rhythms, minimalist whispers, and sacred harmonies merge into a tapestry of sound. He crafts instruments from the remnants of the everyday, coaxing forgotten melodies from discarded objects. His vision: a "universal gathering of beings and cultures," a symphony of micro-sounds that heal and unite.

In the tranquil haven of Artimmus / Creative Concepts & Studio Recording, nestled amidst the whispering trees of the Dandenong Ranges, Timmus extends his artistry to others. He offers a sanctuary for creative souls, a space where the intangible becomes real. He captures the essence of sound, from the raw energy of a live performance to the subtle nuances of a spoken word. He crafts sonic healing journeys and collaborates with artists to bring their visions to life.

Having released his music on labels across the globe and remixed prominent artists, Timmus has performed at festivals worldwide, his performances leaving trails of sonic stardust.
